  5. just curious if any one shooting just one gun might want to shoot on sunday only. maybe go sight seeing Saturday or if you are in a rush to load ammo and get down in time???
  6. kim Richard is the best person to help with the reloading as he's setting up a press for the wapc and has some components. I have a square deal you are welcome to use but no 650 sorry

  9. if you want a lazy whites man pronunciation it's wong-ga-ray and yes standard cap mags are fine
  10. pick one up from midway for $30
  11. jimmy bout 1hr 45mins. its 130 km. range is directly opposite the Hamilton airport if you want to google it.
  12. raffle was drawn at agm last june, some guy I don't know won it. bianchi might be up in the air at the mo for me, will let you know on that one, but might just do cash on the day.
  13. for those that maybe interested in shooting another match while you are on the other side of the world for the wapc, I will be running the NZ Action Nations on October 29-30 in Hamilton this will give those that are planning on coming early to practice and/or sight see plenty of time to travel the 4 hours up to Whangarei on the 31st when their ranges opens for practice. this will be a relatively low key event and depending on interest may have to limit numbers due to mover time over the 2 days. entry details will be posted early February on the pistolnz website and will be an online entry. will update here also. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. peter
  14. rumour had it as top 20 open and top 4 met and prod, guess we'll find out on Jan 1st when the entries come out.
  15. try loosening the bottom screw, I had to back my almost right out and it holds fine.
  16. warren, biggest hassle is finding someone who will export, but goes something like this get import permit here 1mth (that's the easy bit) find someone who will export and do paper work, get export permit there $250 and 1 mth ship $50+ sounds easy ay
  17. yes, there is that but the shooter want to compete in production at the worlds
  18. yeap, probably be easier to make a new sight, but the question still remains, can a gun that is not production legal, be made legal by this modification. I accept the barrel swap would be the best option to meet the rules, but might not be the easiest given location.
  19. question I was asked in the weekend and i'm not sure of the answer. shooter has factory adjustable front sight on 686 and wants to shoot it in production. now I know it's not allowed but what can be done to allow it. 2 options presented to me were glue up the adjustable so it cant be moved (I know this one not allowed as it still an adjustable sight) or replace with fixed sight. so question is, can that be done? reason i'm unsure is the barrel is factory milled to accept the adjustable and a new fixed sight would have to be made to fit this cut. would that be acceptable.
  20. the nz police acknowledge that the states don't issue licences to the individual like most countries and as such won't require it from you.
  21. plan a is to book out the kingsgate hotel, they have always given a good rate to shooters. for any motel/hotel in the area that you would want to stay at will be $100 plus. kingsgate will probably be the best deal and will most likely be the match hotel.
  22. no, it will not have to be added to any list, as long as it has a 4" barrel and not full auto, it's allowed in nz. I doubt anyone has an action pistol not already in nz. you just need to fill in the visitor firearms licence and import permit found here: www.pistolnz.org.nz/events on the left is a "info for overseas shooters" link. all info here we have done this before with major ipsc and others events and the process is easy
  23. I have a solution to your problem, send me the projectiles and you wont need to work out the load. 5 - 5.2 would prob be a good start.
  24. Kyle aggregate is 2 guns, one of which is your main match gun for score in the cup, the secondary is only for agg score in iron man.
