extended mag base for mec-gar mags

Does anyone know of a "+" magazine base that will work with Mec-Gar P16 magazines? Mec-Gar uses metal base plates and a shorter mag body. Arredondo bases on a Mec-Gar magazine won't lock into place.

I've tried the Arrendondo and factory Para Ord mag +2 bases with Mec-Gar mags in my P16 and P18 with no success. The Mec-Gars seem to be slightly shorter when inserted in the pistol preventing anything other than the Mec-Gar bases. Very dissapointing, as these seem to be very good alternative to factory Para mags.

Thanks, ronswin. I think I solved my problem. I took Arredondo base plates, 600 grit automotive sandpaper, laid the sandpaper on a solid table, and carefully removed plastic off the base plates until they fit. Seems to be working great. I'm getting 18 rounds without force into the Mec-Gar mags with these base plates.

The factory mags are best, I use Dawson base pads and I get 21rounds in my factory p-16 mags.

I saw on the Armscorp website they have 16 round mags for their double stack, just don't know if they would work.
