tigerfan_9
What reloading books list titegroup loads for .40 / 180gr ? I am looking to get more data on this but I have checked a couple manuals with no listing. Any help here would be great. I am looking for load data for both 180gr FMJ and 180gr JHP. If anyone has this and can scan/post or just type in the loads I'd be great-full. Thanks.
Skydiver
You can go straight to Hodgdon's website for the straight dope. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.) http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp Your load will vary though depending on what gun you are loading for. For S_I and EAA/Tanfoglio's that like to be loaded long (1.180"+), you may discover that you have to go over book values to make major.

Flexmoney
Search this forum. Tons of data to use for comparison purposes. Don't load off of somebody else's recipe. But, compare. Then, start at the low end and work your load up yourself, in your gun.
RePete
+1 on Flexmoney. I used to load 4.6gr/TiteGroup under the 180gr plated bullet but have recently dropped it to 4.2gr/TiteGroup and chrono'd 171 from my G35 and 168 from my STI Trojan. Welcome to the madness and good luck. Another source of info is http://www.k8nd.com/documents/hl40sw.pdf it is dated but none the less good. 3gunnah
titegroup works great for 40 cal stuff. I use 4.2 and a lead 180 grn bullet makes MPF no issues. For jacketed stuff I find it takes a little more 4.5-4.7 with a 180 tc or hp.
