98sr20ve
Thats a slow jug of of powder. I just got two new jugs of SOLO 1000. I have used plenty of Solo so I will know if this powder is slow. I chrono on thursday.
98sr20ve
With my new batch of powder I had to go from 4.2 grs to 4.5 grs. And that is wtih my KKM barrel which is already 2.8 PF faster. So thats a over .3 gr change with my new jug of powder.

98sr20ve
Talked with Western Powders. He said the powder has been made in the same place since 2004. It's tested for shotgun when they test each lot. So it shows more variation. Said if you chrono to work it back up to the same FPS and it will have the same pressure.

Shooter32
Made it to the range today to chrono the 4.5gr loads with the 124gr Zero . They just barely make power factor no pressure signs so i am going to bump to 4.6grs to be on the safe side of the power factor . Chorono results are .... 10 shot average ... blkbrd
This should be interesting as I have an 8 pound Solo 1000 jug on the way. Plan on working up loads with Zero and Precision 147's to compare with my favorite Zero 147 and N310. With 310 such a PITA to get I had to try Solo. 98sr20ve
"1930" is the same lot # I have. It's the same lot that was much slower then the previous lot I had. I had to add .3 grs to my 9mm load. The date on mine is 2 02 10. Seems 1930 was kinda a slow lot.
Shooter32
This is interesting , but the good thing is that maybe it is just one lot that is this slow . Maybe the new jugs will be back up to speed . My loads are almost compressed with the 4.6grs that i am having to run to get to power factor .
