I have one slide with the Ceracote and would not recomend it for a comp gun ... Hard chrome or the new atranite finish from Bobby at freedom is the only two finishes that i would use for a gun you are going to use .
First thing i would ask is , what dies are you using? Do you have a neck mic so you can measure the diff in the thickness of the brass at the top of the case?? Sounds to like a brass problem off the top of my head but let me know about your stuff and i will try to help . ..
I will not shoot anything but Federal primers and have never had a problem that is primer related ... I would look at something else and not blame the primers ..
Before you buy a KKM barrel , you will not get much better accuracy from the drop in barrel , to get better than the factory barrel you will need to have a gunsmith fit KKM or Bar-sto .
Per Steel1212's recomendation i went with the Techwell XT on my Trojan and i love it !!! It gives me a better grip and the mags just seem to jump in !!!
Mine havent been wet and they are only 6 months old .... If they are throw away items after 6 months then i will not be buying anything that Peltor makes when they get replaced !!! I will try cleaning the contacts and will try to contact Peltor tomorrow .. If they dont want to do something about it then i will be upgradeing to a differant brand for sure .
I have a set of the Peltor Tactical 6's , the problem is the left ear electronics crack and pop all the time when they are on . I have tried batteries and adj the volume up and down to no avail , they are driving me crazy !! Will Peltor do anyhting about them or do i need to look into getting a better set? If a better set is the answer what are your recommendations?? Thanks
I never got the MG 124 JHP's up to speed with my jug of Solo , i went up to 4.8gr ... I had no problem getting the Zero 125gr to 130PF with 4.7gr so that is what i stuck with .. I have not seen any pressure signs but as everybody has said work up slow .
You must have read my mind on this question because i was wanting the same info .. I have been wanting to put the same trigger in my Trojan , i am like you and think i will try it also !!
Go to Techwell's website they have a video showing you how to install .. All you have to do is file on the tabs a little at a time till it fits just dont go to much at once !!
Man I thought my jug was slow !! I have went up to 4.8gr with a MG 124 JHP but i would not want to go any higher than that as my case was close to being full and i now the loads were compressed . I have found that i get a little more FPS out of my Zero's thatn my MG's dont figure .
I load my Solo loads out to 1.150'' with Zero 124gr FMJ and MG 124gr HP . It gives better readings on the chrony , the ES and SD are super with a little longer OAL . My jug of Solo is real slow , i have to load with 4.6 to 4.7grs to get to 128-130 PF . But all of the Solo is differant .
I dont think you need to run your loads up to 135-140PF .. I run all my loads in the 128-130PF range with 13lb recoil springs and both my 34 and 17 run 100 percent . I would change the recoil spring and check the extractor .
I got the SDB in 9mm it was set-up close but you will need to adjust the powder charge and OAL and put the powder drop arm in and adjust it . It is easy with the directions and if you have a problem customer service is great !! It is not a 650 but a good press for the money , i really like mine and dont regret buying it .
