Nik Habicht
As I was cranking out yet more .45 rounds this afternoon I was thinking this very thing... KEEP the SDB for one caliber or other and ADD the 650 to the reloading system set later. 'Means moving to bigger digs, though, but that sounds like a good idea as well. I kept my SDB next to the 650 ---- until the 1050 came along. Note on reloading room expansions: Whatever you think you'll end up with --- get triple the space. You'll fill it... schmitz
I owned a Square Deal B, good press, now I own a 650 (three different calibers: .38 Super, .40S&W, .30M1 Carbine, Go For It!!, esp. when you want to reload (future) other calibers as well. The casefeeder safes a lot of extra work. Works very well with Redding Dies! I'm with ErikW and PistolPete.... DVC, Henny.
texasag93
I own 2 550s. I love them. I am not saying the 650 isn't nice but I can load rifle on both the 550s. It is a very versitile press. I wouldn't mind a 650 set up for .40. Then one 550 in .45 and one in 223. Then I wouldn't have to change anything ever. TXAG
