DougCarden
6in 9x19 bushing barrel with 12oz. slide and briley aluminum guide rod, or standard plug system. Single stack grip for easier draws for steel. I have this in a STI frame and will have one set up in a single stack someday as well.... Singlestack
Glock. This is the 1911 Forum. Please keep your Glock comments to the correct Forum. A quick search will show you where that is.

JThompson
A lot of you guys are talking about the same type I was thinking of. I would go for a 6 for sure.
Flexmoney
Glock. You need to put your head down on the your desk Flex. I wonder where you have your head? I've figured out what gun might be reliable, accurate, quick to draw and quick to transition. Glocks are good on steel. If light weight is a goal, you can whittle away on many a 1911/2011 and still be a half pound heavier...and far away from the design parameters. Over the years, I have seen many of these specialty guns. Guys tell me about their dreams, but show up with nightmares. They are pretty though. Singlestack
They are pretty though. And they have single action triggers.
paul gilman
I would just take my bomar sighted single stack 38 super out of the safe, down load it and go shoot.
