It looks as if there were many shooters that once the big rain came at noon they decided to bag the match. I estimate around 30-40 or more did not return from lunch. Cannot blame them - the weather was the worse I have seen at Major. Credit is due to all the shooters that did shoot the entire match in horrible conditions.

went over some stages today - saw diana lee - talked with Benny Hill who is now wearing a new pair of Rudy Noyz frames. The weather is turning cold right this minute and the wind - well lets just say be careful where you spit!

They are saying Friday will bring 20-30% of rain and or thunderstorms and a 25 MPH wind with gusts of 40MPH. High Temp should be around 45. Friday night has snow in the forecast!!!
Looks like it will be a fun match for the RO staff!!!

I am sure we all have our favorites but Benny Hill gets my vote. His guns run flat and dot is predictable. His prices are great and his build times are within reason. He fixes all types of guns and is a hell of a nice guy.

Here is a slow motion video of my Benny Hill Custom Open gun during recoil - The first shot is with a loose grip and the second shot with a tight grip.
Video footage is from Roy Stedman (Shred) this video is downloadable from Benny Hills Website.

In the San Antonio area we can shoot 4 USPSA matches per month and 2 steel challenge matches. We also go up to Waco and shoot their match - it is a 2.5 hour drive but a great match to shoot.

Well just for information purposes - Here is some info on that -
Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) is a component of the Microsoft® Windows® operating system that provides management information and control in an enterprise environment. By using industry standards, managers can use WMI to query and set information on desktop systems, applications, networks, and other enterprise components. Developers can use WMI to create event monitoring applications that alert users when important incidents occur.
In earlier versions of Windows, providers were loaded in-process with the Windows Management service (WinMgmt.exe), running under the LocalSystem security account. Failure of a provider caused the entire WMI service to fail. The next request to WMI restarted the service.
Beginning with Windows XP, WMI resides in a shared service host with several other services. To avoid stopping all the services when a provider fails, providers are loaded into a separate host process named Wmiprvse.exe.
Multiple instances of Wmiprvse.exe can run at the same time under different accounts: LocalSystem, NetworkService, or LocalService. The WMI core WinMgmt.exe is loaded into the shared Local Service host named Svchost.exe.
Note: wmiprvsw.exe is the Sasser worm!
Note: The wmiprvse.exe file is located in the folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem. In other cases, wmiprvse.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm!

I'm looking for quality shooting glasses, and I don't want to look like a space explorer from the 80s. In other words, I'd like some glasses that look like normal sunglasses. Everyone seems to like the rudy project ones, and "guardyan" are the most normal-looking ones to me.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of these. Would they be comfortable with ear muffs? Will they fit a big head? REI has them in their catalog, but my local stores don't have them in stock, so I can't try them on at this time.
I'm also considering Oakley Fives Squared

They have these at my local REI, and they are quite comfortable. Forgot to bring ear muffs to the store to test them with though...
Here is the information from the e-rudy.com site on those glasses-
Initially developed with military instructors and SWAT units for tactical applications, the Rudy Project GUARDYAN is a full-featured technical sunglass, amazingly versatile and extremely comfortable. Engineered with enhanced wraparound peripheral protection around a sturdy yet slender Grilamid chassis, the Guardyan incorporates adjustable Ergo3 nosepiece for superior customized fit, vented and padded full-face counter mask to provide protection from harsh climatic conditions, and interchangeable temples / strap system for intense sport activities. The proprietary RX insert will accommodate virtually any prescription level and can be mounted with a simple click. Thanks to its unique temple geometry, the Guardyan is compatible with most helmets, making it perfect for motorbike enthusiasts. Unbreakable ImpactX optics will provide superior protection, stunning optical acuity and cutting edge light management technology.

Jake D has a short video on youtube that shows how to move more efficient from a standing position -
Also it looked like you did not feel that comfortable shooting on the move. If you were to take a class from one of the top shooters they could help you with this areas.

Good information!!! Thanks!!

Some of our local clubs here are really heavy with the Tactibilly, Mall Ninja, Gunshop Commando types. They come out and shoot USPSA while bitching and complaining about us Non-Tactibilly types shooting too fast and just generally acting like unhappy a&&es.
Chris
That has to be one of funniest things I have heard in a long long time!!! :roflol: :roflol: :roflol:

This is just not true - Steve shot a great match with some really fast times - it was unfortunate that his gun puked on him on a couple of runs otherwise he would have been much higher in the results. Go get um Steve!!!
