  1. What really strikes you about James when you meet him is that he takes what he lost in stride and keeps on going. He is really a tough guy with real resolve but at the same time he would help anyone who asked him. He really wants to improve his shooting and he barking at the M'a and A's that he is going to start beating them anytime now! He is a real competitor and I for one feel safer at night knowing that young men like this are holding 16's at night watching out for our freedom in strange countries!! He is an example of why our enemies will never win!

  2. Wow! What a great response!! Thank you to all who have commented - Now off to correct some spelling errors on the video - General Chang called me with some helpful advice! Don't be a NSF !

This is one of those stories that should be one of many but are too frequently one of a very few. If you know a vet that shoots with you pat him on the back and tell him thanks again as I am sure you already have! Thanks again for the kind words and we hope to shoot with you soon! James will be Space City coming up this month - you can let him know we are behind him in person!

  3. I wanted to share a video of what happened at our local club this weekend. We have a USPSA shooter that is also a Marine that was injured in the Iraq war - his name is James Gill - He comes to many matches in the area and shoots very well - you never hear him complain that with one leg one eye he is having a hard time - NO - he shoots outstanding and has a great attitude. One of Austin's shooters and club member here at the Bullet Hole - Huston LaClair decided that this young man deserved something more than our friendship since he gave up so much to protect our freedoms! Huston got together an impressive list of Company's to donate and discount products to help this shooter shoot open division - he really wanted to shoot open but was having a hard time getting the massive funds together at one time to get started. In the end - Huston was able to gather up a New Grandmaster from STI and Dave Dawson - Tuned and ready - Shooter Connection donated a top of the line range bag with mags and the CR Speed complete rig with holster - Dillion 550 loader and all the goodies needed to reload!! 2000 Brass from Starline and 4000 Bullets from Magnus bullets and Zero! There are so many other things given you will need to watch the video! - Remember - he had no idea this was going to happen! All of the clubs in the area donated to the event and I wanted to thank all of them and the great companies for doing something that can make us all proud to shoot this sport!!! THANKS!!!

  4. Had a great time!! even though I was badly sick on Saturday - the squad kept pushing me to stick it out! James Ong - that fast little bugger :P !!! Craig - stop talking to the top of my head!!! :D

The Texas Road house BEer's club was a blast with peanuts flying around and Don H getting hit with a roll of all things!! Priceless!!!

This match was allot of fun but squad 21 was just too much to handle - the RO's commented - You guys are something to fear!!

Photo Gallery and Video coming soon to this thread!!!

  5. That reminds me of a story, Dave.....

Our shooting club was featured on one of the local channels a year or two ago as a "Texas Adventure" or something like that.

The cameraman bent down and picked up a handful of old, nasty and almost rusty .223 brass and put it in his pocket.

One of the guys asked him what the heck he was doing, and if he reloaded, there was good brass over here...

His response: "oh, I like to pick up old nasty brass whenever I can so when I go down to the grassy knoll for work I just sprinkle it around."

    :surprise: That was just classic!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

    PRICELESS!!!!!!!!! ahahahahaha :surprise:
