  1. I am an enthusiast user of XL650 since 2003, and last week unfortunately I've found broken the sizing-die on one of the two sets that I use (one for training ammo and the other one for competition). I asked to my local reseller for a free replacement covered by warranty, but he said that the dies are the only part uncovered by warranty. So I've sent an e-mail to Dillon Precision, to explain my problem, and they immediatly shipped to me (by air-mail parcel) a new sizing-die .... Thank you SO much Dillon: your world-wide customer care is simply GREAT ! My next "toy" (sounds inappropriate to call it so ...) will be another "bue-press": this time a gorgeous Super 1050 ... (thanks to your suggestion, guys ... ). Dillon Precision: the BEST reloading equipment on the Planet (and perhaps also outside in the space ... )
  2. Of course this it would be a great honour and pleasure, but for me it would be also GREAT to meet some of you, my dear friends, having the pleasure of shooting together ...
  3. Guys, thanks again to all of you ! You all makes me feel like at home ...
  4. Thanks Flex, I have been in USA (in the past) for two times: the first to meet a friend of my at the FBI Academy in Quantico, plus a nice trip to Annapolis and Washington D.C. the second for a whole week at New York (... Gosh: I love NY !). Due to the fact that me and my wife have a couple of good frends of us who lives in Gilbert, I think that our trip will be in Arizona. And if I'm not wrong Gilbert is quite near to Phoenix ... The biggest decision to take is about my gun: I shoot in Production with a Tanfoglio in 9x21 caliber (at the moment a TSC but I'm waiting directly from the factory a new Stock II that will be in my hands in a few days ...) and I don't know if I can easily find ammos in this caliber in USA (or if I can reload it easily...).
  5. Hi to all guys ! I'm proud and happy owner since 2003 of a XL650: now I have to move my reloading-lab in another room much more bigger and comfortable, and I was thinking to buy another Dillon for a more quicker switch from different kind of calibers (I'm an IPSC shooter and I have to reload min 1500 rounds per week in two different calibers : ....). I ask myself what's the best choice: another XL650 or a RL 1050 ? Thanks in advance for your suggestions .... Stefano
  6. Guys, thank so mutch to ALL of you from the deepest of my heart ! Your kindness and hospitality is impressive ! ! It seems to me really to belong to a big family, all over the world Thanks againt to all of you: at the moment I have not jet planned my trip, but when it will be done I'll let it to you know. Stefano
  7. Not sure if this is the right section for this topic .... I'm an IPSC Production B-class shooter from Genova (Italy) and my "dream in the drawer" is to come in USA for some wheeks of vacation with my wife, to have the chance to improve my language, possibly finding a Club where I can rent a production gun (I think it coud be a big problem to come in USA with my own gun ...) and have a good shooting course with some good shooter .... Recently I've joined USPSA as "foreign member" (mostly to receive Front Sight Magazine ...) and I wonder if this can help my project. Can anybody suggest to me a place (and a Club) where I can find good teachers and be accepted for 1-2 weeks ? The 2nd problem are ammunitions: in tha same Club can I reload for my daily practice ? Thanks !
  8. If you can project (and have builded somewhere ...) an "auto-resetting" version of this mini-swinger, I will be your first italian customer, and I promise to you a LOT of business from Italy ... Shooting swinger is hard to do in livefire practice due to the fact that it costs a lot of footwork (anytime you have to walk up & down for resetting it): if somebody find the manner to have something like an electric mechanism with a remote control for activating and resetting the swinger ..... this would be GREAT !
  9. Steve, I'm absolutely agree with you and I was thinking that you could have an extra-business opportunity selling (in addition to Refinement & Repetitions vol.I and II) also some mini-props for home-practice like swingers and moovers ... A friend of my (GM in revolver division ...) has made a series of "scaled-mini- IPSC-targets" that I use every day for my dry-fire practice. The problem for me is how to build a mini-swinger ...
  10. The real, big problem is that I can't do practice with moovers because they aren't in my club's shooting range ... Due to this I shoot they only at the match, and every time the result is a surprise ... My biggest doubt is what it's better to do with a double moover: if I have to lead (and shoot) first the leading target or the next one ... I suppose so (firts the leading one), because the leading target is also the first that disappear ... I shoot in Production, in 9x21 caliber, with 155 grs bullets (so, slower bullets ...).
  11. Hi folks ! Sorry, this is my "how-to-do" moment ... In my shooting range moovers &/or runners are something like GOSTS, so I shoot them only sometimes, only during the match Can anybody share with me some good tips about this kind of props ? What's the basic tecnique with a single moover ? And with a double-one ? Thanks to you all !
  12. Ehmmm ... by the way: I'm 6'6" In my next life I'll ask my mamy to make me a little bit shorter, and possibly much more FASTER ...
  13. There's absolutely NO problem ! It's normal that we all have a list of priorities ..... Take care, Stefano
  14. Hi guys, firts of all my best easter wishes to all of you and your families ... I am serching some good tips about shooting from ports, windows, etc. etc at different hights: - how to approach to the port - how to "enter" and to "exit" from it - what are the most important things to take in evidence related to this skill Anybody can help me ? Thanks in advance ! Stefano
  15. Please, It would be GREAT if you'll find the time to post only 2 or 3 of these drills : exiting/entering shooting positions is one of the my biggest weaknesses at the moment, and I want to work a lot on it ... Thanks in advance !
  16. GOSH ! I've quite the same problem, in Production Division, but the "little" difference is that I'm stuck between 70% and 75% The same advices are good for me too, or I must ask somebody to kick my ass at the start signal ??
  17. GREAT ! Thanks Jim ! By tha way ... I know that Front Sight it's a "must-to-have" between practical shooting magazines ... Can I subscribe it joining to USPSA ? Even if it will be very-hard for me shooting in USPSA, due to the fact that I live in Italy ??
  18. I'm sorry but I'm from Italy and here we have not access to Front Sight Magazine ..
  19. Twisting the the upper body while shooting on the move is very hard for me too ... At the moment I've found two different solutions, and I'm wondering what is the best: I'm not a GM but only "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (Production B-class shooter ... ). The FIRST I've seen is the 3GM DVD, where Max Michel teach how to exiting/entering shooting positions: in particular that tecnique he calls "easy exit/enter". It is a very smoot tecnique to "roll-over" the position where you have to shoot, and I was thinking that using this tecnique in short sequence, one step after the other, it could be a good solution for shooting accurate points while moving on side, facing the targerts in front of you. The SECOND I've noticed is from Eric Grauffel's website: a video is worth 1000 words, so ...please, take a look at : http://www.ericgrauffel.com/ and then go to: Eric's info \ internet videos \ panama medium in the middle of the stage there is "the clou" of the tecnique I mean: Eric shoots when his leading foot touches the ground (while also the other foot is on the ground and his stance is quite stable ...). What works best about you (assuming that - unfortunately - we are neither Max, nor Eric ....) ??
  20. What is the best tecnique for shooting a group of targets in front of you, while moving on side (to the left or to the right) ? Imagin you have two boxes (A+B 7/8 mt. apart one from the other, and 3/4 targets in front of them at 10/12 mt.: You have to shoot all the targets while moving from A to B. My question is related in particular to the position of the legs: how is better to move them ? It is better to cross the legs while facing the targets with the upper-body, or it is more efficient (for who is able to do ...) turning the upper-body to the targets while the legs are walking forward the next box ? I've tried both solutions, and personally I found that the 1st. is - for me - easier, but also the slowest: what do you think about ?
  21. Thanks, good advice. Me too I've already broken the trigger spring (due to the fact that I usually do daily dry-fire at home ...) and I've replaced it with a spare one from Tanfoglio (luckly it's 100% compatible ...). About the slide-stop a frind of my is at his 3rd spare one ! And he's not shooting a lot: no IPSC matches and training, but only "shooting for fun" sometimes ...
  22. By the way ... Yust done full disassembly of the gun: it seems that the problem is the sear-spring, as suggested by you guys ... The best it should be to replace it with another (new) but here, in Italy, is very-very-very hard to obtain any kind of spare parts from the local official importer (Bignami). So I've "re-charded" the spring by hands, hoping that it will be good for another period of time .... It's an absurd: if you need to replace even one single spring broken .... due to this horrible "customer care" we have here, in Italy, you can't use your gun for months .... Does anybody knows where I can order some spare parts for the CZ, and have them shipped in Italy ? I'm sure that it is much more easy to obtain they in USA (or in Europe) than in Italy ....
  23. Thanks Carlos, grazie Josh My gun comes from factory without firing pin block/safety: I've already checked the firing pin spring but is seems OK: due to the fact that I'm now using a lighter recoil spring (11 Lbs ...) it coud be a good idea to try a heavier firing pin spring, to prevent firing pin sticking ? Next thing: as said before both the hammer & the sear seems OK, but it coud be a reason for the malfunction described the loosening of the sear spring ? I've already checked it and it isn't broken: could it be simply loosen ? Again, thanks a lot to both of you ! Ciao from Italy ! Stefano
