What a match!! I want to thank Jack and his hard working staff for putting on a great match. The match tested all levels of shooting and allowed shooters to have a blast doing it. This is an IDPA match that everyone should put on their schedule for next year. joe dwyer Easy for you to say...you won the match! Congratulations,Joe! I recently picked up some Ky-Tac pouches and a couple of holsters. I was hesitant to order from him in the past because of these stories. However,when he became a member of a board I moderate,I figured I would get good service....and I did. Quick turnaround and great service. As to the products,they are second to none. One thing that stands out about the Ky-tac gear is the attention to molding detail INSIDE the holsters. They have excellent retention...so much you can turn the holster upside down and the gun will not shake loose. even so,they still draw fast. When I first got one,I checked the retention and since it was very tight,i figured I would have to loosen the screws to get a decent draw....wrong! they are just that good.

Jerry will probably be shooting the Arkansas Winter Classic in Springdale/Tontitown in February. He shot with us last year and he's a freakin' monster! Really nice guy,though.

The problem is that MasterBlaster only offers 150gr bullets in the profile I want. The 158gr is a RNFP. If I can't get it done by the next chrono session,i'm going to scrap them and go with a Berry's 158gr. Well,I got it done using 3.9gr of Clays. Although it was a balmy 30degrees today,I got an average of 895fps with that load. Using 3.6gr of Clays I couldn't get it done even on a warm day although seating the bullet deeper (1.505")got me a little closer to the required velocity.

Any ideas as to why I cant get it done with 3.5gr of Clays using a 150gr moly lead bullet? There's a lot of questions to be asked in order to figure this out. What's your barrel length? How many rounds through the barrel? How close are you to PF? What's your chrono set-up like? There are a lot of variables that contribute to the equation. Some guns are just "faster" than other guns. This can be attributed to a tighter bore that makes for higher pressures. If a gun has a million rounds through it and the barrel-cylinder gap is wider than the Lincoln Tunnel a lot of pressure can be bled off. If you're shooting a new, Earth Standard Normal wheelgun in good shape it gets harder to answer your question. The gun I used to generate that load is a S&W 627 V-comp with a 5" tube and relatively low miles. When I chrono I use a single chrono with it's own incandescent lights set at about eight yards. I like to chrono during the winter (loads usually clock slower in cold weather) and aim for at least five over the required PF. I shoot ten rounds and take the five slowest to compute my average velocity. I am using a S&W model 19 with under 50 rounds through it. Chrono was setup at 15ft Using the 150gr bullet,I need to hit 834fps tp make power factor. 3.0gr of Clays is giving me an average of 700fps 3.5gr of Clays is giving me an average of 800fps Go 3.6gr or higher?

I ordered some of the 150gr Master blaster RNL (moly) bullets because they didn't have a 158gr in the same profile. I'm having trouble woring up a load with this. 3.0gr of Clays is giving me an average of 700fps 3.5gr of Clays is giving me an average of 800fps I'm going to try 3.9-4.0 gr of Clays and see if it makes it but i won't have access to a chrono again for a couple of weeks. 4.0gr of Titegroup eaily makes IDPA power factor but the recoil is too sharp,IMO. Any thoughts or recipes with the 150gr loads? Thanks

4.0gr of Titegroup makes power factor out of my M19 with this bullet. It averaged 861fps ES: 68 SD: 24 129150 power factor. The recoil impulse was a little too snappy,IMO. I'm going to experiment a little more with pushing the Clays up before I settle on the titegroup With 3.0gr of Clays,i got an average of 700fps With 3.5gr of clays i got an average of 800fps I'm going up to 3.9 and 4.1 with the Clays and if that is pushing too hard,I'll go back to the Titegroup. How does 3.7-4.0 gr of Clays sound? OAL= 1.550

Looking for a proven SSR load for IDPA. i'll be using Master blasters 150gr RN slugs. Any recipes would be appreciated. FWIW,i have Titegroup and Power pistol on hand.....

Looking for a 10mm that I can load to power floor in IDPA. I have ZERO experience w/10mm so i'm just doing research to see if I can work up a reliable competetive load for running in SSP or ESP with a G20. I'd rather not go the "load a .40S&W in a G20" route. I like the large frame Glocks so if it's do-able,i'll buy one. i'm interested in specific proven load recipies and any spring weight recommendations. What modification did you make? I'm trying to get that same load consistently and am having troubles. I bored out the hole in the disk. I'm not sure how much right off the top of my head but I think it was .003-.004

I modified the Lee micro-disk to throw 3.2gr of titegroup consistantly. If i use a MasterBlaster 147 should i set the OAL at 1.122"?

I don't have easy access to a chrono at the moment so I'm wanting info on a solid proven 147gr load so when i get to measure them they will be close enough that i won't have to do too much tweaking. Also,I don't have the luxury of investing in a lot of different powders right now to experiment with. I have a match coming up in two weeks and i'd like to have something lined out by then. I'm going to order bullets tomorrow and I still haven't decided on either Berrys or MasterBlasters but i'm leaning toward the masterblasters. Looking good so far are: 3.2gr Titegroup Berrys 147 1.125 3.0 Titegorup Berrys 147 1.135 3.6gr VV n330 Masterblaster OAL? 3.8gr WST Berrys 1.160 (reported 139,000pf) If the win powders are going to meter better with my auto-disk setup,i may need to go that route,which makes the last load look appealing. FWIW,I'll be shooting a Glock 17 with 13# spring minus 3 coils. i'd be very interested in hearing any other proven load recipes that use the Masterblaster bullets,including their respective velocities. I'm looking for a good low power floor load for IDPA. I have a lot of questions.... I plan on using Master Blaster 147gr Truncated FPs My reloading setup is a *gag* Lee turret and I can't find any charge discs that will throw the ever popular 3.2-3.3gr of titegroup. What kind of velocity can I expect with 3.5gr? Is there a good recipe for the Master Blaster 147gr? I need to know everything ...primers...OAL...powder,etc. The only powder i have is power pistol currently,is there a nice load for that one? I've searched the site,but I haven't been able to find complete recipies with these bullets,listing PF and Velocities. Thanks for your help. JP
