I haven't been approved yet. However, I am not to concerned. I signed up within 2 minutes after it opened up for registration. I know other folks who signed up right away and have't been approved yet. Might shoot Paul an e-mail. He is good about getting back with you.

This is a fun match and very well organized. Just make sure your Single Stack makes weight with a mag inserted. Also, the gun must fit in the USPSA box.

Local club 30 minutes from the house starts at 9AM. Has safety briefing (?) for 20 minutes and starts shooting at 930ish. 70-80 shooters. Has six squads usually 13 to 17 shooters per squad. Usually done around 2ish. 6 great stages. Then tear down.
Local club hour and a half from house. No safety briefing. First shot allowed at 8 AM. Done this Saturday at 1115. 6 great stages. Open squading. I personally would rather drive the extra hour each way in order to get done earlier. Of course traffic sucs some times.

Shot their match last week (LDF). They already have the I-pads. Suppose to start using them real quick

Smart. Now let the fun begin.

Welcome Richard. You will learn alot from this forum. To see most mathches held in Southren California go to Oceanside pistol.com. There is a calendar on the web page of most matches held throughout the area. Brian G at LDF maintains the web page.

Ditto response as Sarge. After using 3 different competitors holster, the Double Alpha is by far my choice. You won't be disappointed

Actually met him in Crawford Colorado many years ago on a dirt road. Introduced himself as Joe and was the nicest guy you could talk to. RIP

Reminds me of trying to draw an Elk tag every year

I have use Brazos Pro Trigger Group. Comes with everything you need. Breaks clean and the reset is fantastic.

I believe if you get the Tripp Corey mag and change the follower it will work. Check with Virgil to be safe

I switched all my 1911/2011 to the micro dot sight. I felt shooting steel helped out much more with the micro dot

I have had problems with my Oakley Path RX prescription sun glasses. I had Oakley do a clear RX lens and a VR28 RX lens. The clear lens was perfect but had to send the VR 28 lens back to them 3 times. After the 3rd time they wouldn't warranty them. I felt the VR28 lens wasn't clear. Ended up throwing the VR28 lens away.

I used to have one. Sort of regretting selling it now but I needed to fund my Brazos Limited gun. Shot accurate and was reliable once I had Jimmy @ 1911 shop go thru it.
I seen one on Norco Run and Gun's sign in table last week for sale. I believe Jimmy did extra work on the slide.

I sort of ran across the same problem with my limited blaster. Come to find out although I could feel it click when adjusting, the rear blade wasn't moving. I about tore my hair out trying to figure it out. Switched the rear sight to a 10-8 and haven't regretted it since.

That may be true. However the local USPSA Club has grown from 15 shooters a match to well over 60 a match and growing in the last 5 years. Most of the USPSA shooters used to be IDPA shooters, got fed up with the silly rules and transitioned to USPSA.

They are sending out notices letting folks know they got in this week.

Money well spent. Plus Bob is close to you. I have 3 of Bob's guns and they run like a charm.
-
I went the opposite from you. I switched from a 38 super to a 9mm. Only problem I had was the 38 super mags. Didn't work well with 9mm ammo. Purchased Tripp mags and now the gun runs like a champ.

U seem very bitter. I will refund your membership if that will make you feel better
I am bitter. Very bitter. Thanks for the offer to refund membership. Let's see 16 years x 40 bucks a year comes out to about 640 bucks. Just send a check to the USPSA Junior Program.
Thanks

Also check out Cameron Guns. Eddie, Tony and crew are putting out some great stuff right now.

It is really up to the shooter what he/she prefers. As for me, I can pick up the front fiber optic sight faster with a blacked out rear sight.

Ran across this today with another shooter at a local match. He switched out the follower and the problem was solved. Can't say that is the problem but worth a try. Good luck

Reminds me of the Western States Single Stack Championship a few years ago. Rained so hard I thought I seen folks building an ark. Felt sorry for the RO's and CRO's. They hung in there like a champ. Personally if they would of called the match because of safety reasons I would of understood.
Drove 7 hours to shoot the match.
