  1. Doc You didn't do wrong with ordering the Tripp magazines. I have several of them and they will fit in the IDPA box. Check all your magazines when you recive them to verify they don't lock the slide back with one round left in the magazine. If one does, call Virgil. He will fix the problem by sending you a new follower. His customer service is outstanding. Enjoy

  2. I have been involved with setting up IDPA stages for the last 10 years. I know first hand how it is not seeing the results for weeks, even months, at a time. After carefull thought, a group of us local shooters began our own club. Everyone has a part in making sure the club runs smoothly. We found out the more people involved-the smoother things run. We have the match scores up the same day of the match or the very next day. It does take dedication but it can be done.

  3. I had the same problem a few years ago. After being involved in a car accident, I went to a Chiropractor for severe back pain. The Chiropractor put a stimilase electrical shock electrodes on my back. During a visit, I asked the Chiropractor if I could get the electric stimulase on my elbow. Surprising enough, my elbow pain went away after a few sessions. Good luck to you.

  4. I purchased 4 Tripp magazines for my 9mm Caspian. The last round locked the slide back on the 10th round. I ran the same magazines through a Kimber and Springfield with 100 % reliability. After a quick call to Virgil, he sent me 4 followers at no charge. Now the Caspian runs 100 %. A bit costly but well worth the personnel service.

  5. Mark,

Had the same problem with my SVI 40sw. I reload on a Dillon 650 using Dillon dies. I purchased a resizing die from EGW as well as a chamber guage. The EGW die and chamber resizes the case .001 smaller. The case guage is also .001 smaller. Problem now fixed.

  6. I purchased 3 Tripp magazines about a month ago. On my particular 1911 (Caspian) the slide would lock open before the 10 round. I tried the same magazines in a Springfield 9mm. The magazines fed like a champ. I also tried them in a Kimber 9mm. Once again they fed without any problems. I contacted Virgil at Tripp. He sent me 3 followers to replace in the magazines. Once I installed them, my Casoian eats up the ammo like candy. I am about to order 6 more magazines from Tripp. Tripp's customer service was top rate.

  7. I tried the Tripp 10 round mags in my Caspian 9mm. The slide would lock back before the 10th round. Tried the same mags in a buddie's Springfield 9mm. Shot like a charm. No hang ups or malfunctions after 200 rounds. I called Tripp concerning the my Caspian. They are sending me three different followers to try.

  8. I JUST RECIEVED 3 9MM MAGS FROM TRIPP YESTERDAY. I HAVEN'T RAN THEM THROUGH THE GUN YET BUT THE QUALITY LOOKS OUTSTANDING. TRIPP IS AWARE OF SOME GUNS LOCKING OPEN ON THE 9TH ROUND. THEY PUT A FLYER IN THE BOX ADVISING IF IT HAPPENS TO CONTACT THEM AND THEY WILL REPLACE A PART AT NO CHARGE.

  9. I looked through the rule book tonight and noticed that ESP guns can weigh 43 ounces, yet a CDP gun can only weigh 41 ounces including an empty magazine.

Can anyone explain this rule to me?

With a guide rod and magazine well, my CDP gun is just over the limit. I'm not trying to bash IDPA. I would just like to know the logic behind this rule. Thanks!

I have been to many state matches and never seen a club weigh a gun
