  1. OK, so you get a phone call asking you to assist with a match. So you decide to give your time to assist. And for those of you who have assisted with a match, or volunteered, RO'd, designed stages, built props, ran to the printers or Lowes, Home Depot or the local hardware store, you know what it takes to help put on a match. Nothing is JUST 5 minutes.

You don't do it for the glamour, you do it to give back. You do it because some one else has stepped up before you and has volunteered, RO'd, designed stages, built props, ran to the printers or Lowes, Home Depot or the local hardware store so that you can enjoy a match. You do it for the love of the game.

But it's not just the love of the game, it's really the people. I've only been in this sport for 4 years. You may or may not have seen me shooting or seen me in stats or heard me on the range-I am usually the Cheerleader with the loud, high-pitched "Woohoo"! I have to say it's the people in this sport never cease to amaze me. They are gracious both on and off the range.

I came home from work today (yes, I have to work the week after Christmas <_< ) and checked the mail. What I found was a Heart-Felt Thank You from a group of gentlemen I consider a Class Act. You have touched my heart in a way you will never know. I am truly blessed to be a part of this 3 Gun Family. You know who you are and I am honored to know you all. 2012 will be the best year yet!

    Thank you-

  2. Either I'm reading them wrong, always a possibility or there are some serious typos in those stages. Round counts and guns don't match up. One says slug targets to be engaged with pistol. some have rifle listed but nothing in the description.

Also how are the BC plates for pistol scored. One hit? Two?

You are correct, there is a typo and it is being addressed as I write. I am trying to obtain an aswer onf the BC plates for you.

  3. The match covers a pretty good chunk of terrain. The upper two stages (8 & 9) will require you to HUMP your kit up a fairly good hill (steep, short and untimed of course :D) and it is not wagon accessible. The lower 7 stages are wagon/cart accessible and will have vehicle parking withing a hundred yards or so.

Hope this helps with your logistical planning.

    -6-

How about golf carts will they make it ????

I am told "no" golf carts will not make it up these two stages but there are looking into alternate ways to get people there without issues. However, if I am mistaken, Jim/John/Sheldon will correct me here.

  4. Good Morning Boys and Girls:

I am told you should expect to see 10 slug tagets. If you have a golf cart or wagon, you should consider bringing if you'd like. There are 2 stages which have steep hills, so carts/wagons may be difficult to use, but I am assured there will be minimum gear needed on those 2 stages (perhaps pistol rifle only)

Webmaster will be updating www.spartantactical.com with Registration in formation you so you won't have to go looking for posts 145 or 199 in this thread.

    TI Questions/Answers:

As of this writing, there are 8 registered in this division. Jim will accpet 8 as a "Division" and he has indicated that: 1x optice may be used. So bring 'em if you got 'em.

Jim, John, Sheldon have been working hard and hope to have additional updated posted within next day or two.

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

    Until then, Happy Holidays

    :D

  5. What time, what day do we need to show up? For some reason I had it in my head we shoot Sat/Sun but looking at the website it says Fri/Sat/Sun. I have work issues if we shoot on Friday.

Glad Jim is back, some answers, all in one spot would be really nice!

Really looking forward to this match. It's gonna be nice to not have to travel 8hrs or more to a major 3 gun match. :-)

    MLM

Looking forward to seeing you at the match. Please see posts 145 and 199 for registration information....RO will shoot on Thursday and shooters will compete Fri/Sat and Sun. I spoke with Jim last night and I am really getting excited about the match.

  6. Would like to get some info from anyone who has been to this range. I know this is a very large facility but don't know how the stages for the FB3G will be laid out.

Would shooting gear carts/strollers be of any use?

How far apart are the stages?

Would it be better or even possible to drive a car to the stages?

Will water/food be available near the stages?

You get the idea. Any info would be helpful.

As I understand it, Jim has just returned to the States and will respond asap. If you want to get an idea of the terrain, please see the site www.spartantactical.com

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

  7. Jim e-mailed me at 4:00 this morning  (obviously a different time zone) and indicated he would try to get these out asap. I'll try to get a more definitive answer...

  9. Glanced at the rules from last year. Looks like 1x optics were good to go for tac iron and heavy last year at Benning. Is this going to change? If not, I may try a little heavy action at this one...

Also put me down as a vote for IMGA scoring.

    [/quotehe

The Rules have been changed.

Jim will have the Rules for 2011 FB3G posted shortly...look for them on his site www.spartantactical.com....I will post here once the page is up and running. We are "tweaking" it right now and hope to have it up soon...

    Please stay tuned...
