  1. I wish I had known the Marines of Foxtrot Co, 4th LAR needed ammo... I would have gladly donated to them so they could play with us. I know many others feel the same way! I will keep them and their famlies in my thoughts and prayers.

I have both December 13, 2008 and April 11-12, 2008 on the calendar! What a great time it is going to be. Congrats again on a great match and all the toys/cash that was raised for Tots For Tots! Many children will have a happier Christmas because of MCRC's dedication and hard work.

I'd like to give a personal Woohoo to David Powers (Sabre Defence)! Thank you very much. I know it was short notice-but you made it happen. Many thanks and I look forward to the next 3G.

    Sandra

  2. Great Match. Thank you Jack, Linda, Julie, Donnie and Tom and to everyone else who help to put this match on. Great stages and great people! It was nice to see old friends and make new ones. I am glad I got to be a part of the experience again this year and look forward to next year's Toys For Tots! BTW: Great job breaking the record of the attendance AND the donations. :D

    Woohooo!

  3. Coming from the GA direction, there is a Motel 6 or Days Inn or something of the sort right there in Guntersville I've stayed at before. Right near the lake, but other than that, it would simply meet your bed, shower, and toilet requirement. Let's just say it wasn't the Ritz. <_<

Coming from the East, I would say the ones in Guntersville are your best bet, everything else is further in Huntsville, there is a couple small hotels on South Parkway in Huntsville or a whole bunch on University Drive, I will try to find a link for hte ones in Huntsville

There are rooms at the Raddison on Memorial Parkway for $89.00 per night.

The Radisson Suite Hotel is an all suite property, handsomely appointed with lofty ceilings, French doors (separating bedroom from living room), tile bathrooms and Queen sleeper sofas in the living areas. Suites at the Radisson Suite Hotel feature such welcome amenities as Complimentary High-Speed Internet Access, telephones with dataports and voicemail, coffeemakers, hairdryers and irons/ironing boards. Be sure to ask about our Sleep Number® beds, exclusively at Radisson.

  4. Has Bill or Cindy actually confirmed the date yet?

    DaG

Charles notified me 7/25/07 that these were the dates. He indicated that he had been working with Cindy and Bill on this. So, it seems to be pretty firm.

Back-to-back?!! I would truly be disappointed if they were scheduled on back-to-back weekends as both are great matches. However, if I am forced to chose one due to time and/or $ constraints, then my loyalties will be to my home state-SC Section! Any chance that the Area 6 date is not confirmed?

  5. Squad 25 was a heck of a lot of fun. It was good to finally shoot with IMA45DV8, Singlestack, and Debbie. Good to meret everyone else.

The vids that Sharyn and Julie posted were great. Wonder if anyone got a vid of Mark nearly taking down the wall on stage 4. I am surprised it stayed up after that impact.

To my squadmates - thanks for the patience with the younger guys. Y'all were great. I really appreciate the encouragement and compliments y'all gave the boys. John is already talking about Georgia. I told him to finish school first.

Anyway, it was fun. Take care.

    Jack

(165 - I really don't like living on the edge......)

It's easy to have patience when you are dealing with such well mannered young adults! :D Watching the dad/son interation you both have with your sons is something to be admired. Not to mention, it's amazing watching them grow/mature in this sport!

To my old friends and new friends, I look forward to seeing you all again soon! We had a great squad, great weather, and great fun. What more can a girl ask for?!! BTW: Mark, after watching you on Stage 4, I now understand why your home range makes things "Mark Proof!" Much love and straight shooting to everyone.

  6. Wow! That was fun! What a great turn out! It was cold but at least there wasn't any wind and it didn't rain!

I want to thank everyone for their generousity in supporting the Toys for Tots program. We collected more toys than ever this year and $2,151 for Toys for Tots (the Marine's will use the cash donated to buy more toys for the program).

I want to congratulate the winners. Good job to all. Thanks to all of the regulars who helped out with the new shooters. Everything went smoothly. I was also very happy to see all of the junior shooters. They are the future. Also, thanks to everyone who helped take down the stages after the match. We really appreciate it.

I also want to thank our crew at MCRC - Donnie, Tim, Tom, and Julie. They are the backbone of our matches at the club. They are the ones who are always behind the scenes before the matches making sure everything is taken care of. The reason this match went off as smoothly as it did is because of the work they did before hand.

Finally, I want to thank Linda for everything she did to make this work. I thought her online registration was awesome and it really helped speed things up the day of the match. I would NEVER EVER think of putting on a match like this without her (or the rest of the MCRC crew).

I will have pictures available on-line by tomorrow evening (I will post here to let y'all know when they are up).

I want to ask everyone to email or contact our sponsors (http://www.southcarolina-uspsa.org/T4TSponsors.htm) and thank them for their generousity. Everyone who was at the match got a prize.

Next year's match will be December 8, 2007.

    Thanks again and Merry Christmas!!!

Oh one other thing - Congrats to Sandra Orvig who finally saw the light and is now a Gamecock fan! :D She was wearing her new colors proudly at the match. Go Cocks!!

Thank you Jack for the Wonderful Match! Great Job. Thank you MCRC CREW! Linda: Maybe now you can have breather for the rest of the year and enjoy a truffle or two with your coffee!

    Hmmm, Fan?!! Still confused ;)
