Hi all,
Man this is WAY more work than I recall! We'll as Sandra informed all via email we had to make a venue change, all things considered it is for the best. NSA had to make a business decision, and I think they made the right call. It was a 2 comma contract versus a 3-Gun match it sucks but it had to go this way.
Legion adds a whole new level of awesome potential as they have more real estate to play with, and as most of you know I can not let that go to waste so we are redesigning the stages. Don't worry, full round count will go out next week for now plan on 100-125 per system with 15-20 slug.
What to expect, a technical hose fest! Not overly physical but movement is involved, you will have to shoot well and fast, but you will not need wheels, and you will not confuse this match with selection! There will still be 8 stages 3 3-Gun, 4 2-Gun and 1single, all with some serious twists and surprises. You'll shoot slug to 100 yards and your rifle to 350-500 yards, but this will not win or lose the match for you.
I hate that I have to ask you to trust me but over the years I think I have earned the right to ask for your trust that we will put on a match that will make you happy you came a sad if you didn't and that is a promise.
I really need those who signed up but have not yet paid to send in you check ASAP. Also a few dropped out so we have slots so tell the world so we can get this event full!
Check out Legionotg.com to see this amazing facility.
EOTech and Adams Arms are the major match sponsor, and they came in HEAVY!
We do have a full prize table, and I'll have more about our amazing sponsors soon, just know they are great!
On a personal note please do not take my lack of posting here as a lack of effort or concern. I have been working on finding a job and putting this match together plus retiring, it has been a full plate. I have planned it so most other things fad out over the next week and I will then live a breath SE3GC!
Thank you all for your trust and support!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been getting a lot of calls regarding round count and distance. Please refer to this post. I can assure you, and if you don't believe me-ask others who previously attended the Ft. Benning Matches, these men know what they are doing in stage design and implementation! You will have a fantastic time. If this match proves to be 1/2 of the last Ft. Benning match, it too will be selling out within seconds with a wait list of 400! More work for me, and more fun for you!
Anyway, there will be 3 side shoots-I am told. So bring extra ammo for your Shotgun and Pistol. Rifle ammo will be provided. Prizes to be given away at each side event, so be sure to come ready to play. I am sure you won’t be disappointed!
Cheers!
Sandra

Can you tell me if you have received my check? I mailed it in September, but it hasn't cleared my bank yet.
Thanks!

Yes it was received. I kindly refer you to post 101 in this thread. I look forward to seeing you at the match! The stages are looking great!

That definitely got me excited! I need to start training now with the setup I'll be using.
For those that have shot 3 gun in the winter, anybody wear thin gloves?
Wear gloves and use hand warners when not shooting. You won't get cold the 15-90 seconds your on the clock.
Anybody have video of this bridge thing in action?

Please remember to visit the offical web page for the match! www.se3gc.com!

I plan on doing the boy scout thing by bringing gloves but I will be surprised if I need them. as far as the bridge goes I am not going to freak out till I see the stages. that's when I will
freak out
You are one smart guy!

Just Curious....does anyone have nightmares of the swinging bridge?
I recall there were discussions that we could use it to make a bomb fire one year. Any thoughts or stories from you "old" FB3G-ers?
Inquiring minds want to know.

yes-round count will be posted next week-I am told.

Ladies and Gentlemen: As I understand it, ammo can be shipped to Legion. Aaron will be posting tonight when he returns to the house. I am really excited about the match! As stated above, lots of options at this range!

Hello Everyone:
Well things for the match are shaping up very nice! Sponsorship has been amazing, shooter interest and support is just the greatest thing, and truly why I wanted to do another match. That said we do have a slight issue...
Due to a contract that has been awarded to NSA, the match will not be able to take place at that facility on the days previously planned. As a result, I have 2 options:
1) Either I can move the event to April, refund everyone's entry fee, send back the wonderful prizes, and then start the whole process over, or
2) Find another location real fast.
Obviously the easy route is to cancel the match this year and start planning for next year, but we like hard work SO, we found another location! The SE3GC will now being held at Legion OTG located in Blakely, GA, less than 50 minutes from NSA. The lodging currently set-up is about 90 minutes to the new location. You are welcome to keep your reservation, however we have new agreements in place pending at 2 Days Inn’s: One is located 26 miles from Legion; the second one is 7 miles away. In addition, we will also have a Holiday Inn in Dothen, AL, 28 miles away and there is a RV park with hotels that we will approach on Monday that is 8 miles away from Legion as well.
I understand this is not the ideal situation, but I promise the match will be fantastic and worth the change in venue. However, if you do not want to move with us, I completely understand and I will issue you a full refund. I hope you will see that this change is a minor one as it will result in a larger venue, albeit slightly further from Columbus, GA.
More details will follow but know we will have food on the range from morning to night so there is no need to leave, and the town of Blakely has several restaurants and watering holes that look forward to serving you. The city of Dothan, AL is only 28 miles away and contains most of the chain establishments you are used to.
I hope you will all bear with me through this rebuilding year as we work to bring back the world class event that was the FB3G. Please take a look at the lodging available in Blakely, specifically the Days Inn, but please wait until Monday when I post the rate and event code to book your room.
Please post any questions here and/or send me an email. I will get you an answer as soon as possible. Just know it has been a struggle, but anything worth doing has its difficulties.
VR,
Aaron Hampton

Hello Everyone!
The registration program being used will allow for you to register post the #160 cut off. You will get a Wait List Notification once you register via email. This is an automatic notification sent from the registration program and it will contain a confirmation number and a password-specific to you. Keep that e-mail for future use! Once I "move" you into the match, you will need to go online and finish the online registration process (purchase entry fee and/or shirt(s)). You may also use the confirmation number and password to check the Paid Status and to review your squad request(s). If you have requested to be squadded with someone and the request has changed, you may then email me at my personal email address with your corrected squad request. In order to keep down the number of emails I receive, please check your online status prior to sending me a squad request. If X was listed on your squad request when you registered, I DO NOT need a reminder email.
I look forward to seeing eveyone in December! Remember your hand warmers!

No sir. The match is sold out. I still have a wait list..

Announcement for those registered in Heavy Irons. I only have 5 registered in this division. According to the rules, we need 10 to recognize the division. I have received confirmation from Jim that if you choose to stay in this division, those competitors will be grouped with the TI. Please contact me on my email if you have any questions.
Thank you-
Sandra

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen:
Update on HM division. I only have 5 people registered in this division. You need 10 to recognize the division. What say you?
I can use your help with squad requests. You can use your confirmation number and password given to you when you registered to check to see who you requested to be squadded with. Please look at your original request before emailing me a duplicate request. If there is a change, then by all means, email me. I will do my best to honor all squad requests but am fearful that a request/change may get over looked- today alone I received 33 emails regarding squad requests!
I am getting excited!
See you soon!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
-
Hello All. For those of you who contacted me yesterday, the site isback up and running. It is currently being updated as the information comes in so ocheck back often. The registration button is working and we still have a few slots left. See you there!

Yea but I would be around to complain about it not so much with an A zone hit. A byproduct of the current 2 anywhere to neutralize scoring is sloppy shooting. It is there match let them score it how they want without bashing on it. The same people will still win regardless.Pat
Let someone shoot you in the D zone and tell me it not a good shot afterwards.
Awe you mean where you actually have to make good shots on paper. I like it.PatWill the scoring system still be that IDPA crap?
Only one way to find out! What I dislike is that it takes longer to score than shoot which means less time to shoot!
I haven't spoken to Aaron today, but rules should be posted soon AND it will have the scoring system we will use. Yes, there is a refund-I need to confirm the cut off date. There is a non-refunable $50.00 adminstration fee no matter when you withdraw. I will endeavor to confirm the cut off date and advise you accordingly...but seriously-I'm getting calls from people in the UK wanting to come play and it isn't Mike.45!
Never quite understood the "administrative fee". If there are shooters on the wait list, shouldn't be any issues.... oh well
I'm entered in the match. Guess I have to figure it out within a couple days then
Volunteer to do registration and or MD for a match and you'll understand
I kid....This will be an awesome match. Glad to see all the ladies and men coming to play...Don't forget handwarmers!

I am not sure what you are asking....Do you mean to register for the match? If so, go to www.se3gc.com and preregister there. You will be given a confirmaiton and password that you can use in the future to check to see if you payment has been made. If you mean to pick up scoresheets/squadding assignments/schedule/pick up ordered T-Shirts, you will need to check in/register at the range. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you
