  1. Is there any 3 gun matches for area 5. We have been shooting USPSA only a few months and we can not find a 3 gun match.
  2. After reading all of the post I'm the one that feels like the moron. I have been to many gun shows in the past 12 years or so, I've seen robberies, gun theft from venders, but never THANK GOD an AD or anyone shot. These are all very good reason for not allowing loaded guns at gun shows.
  3. That is one I didn't think of, you might be right. Thank you.
  4. yesterday me and my family went to a gun show in Ohio. We got to the door, there was a sign that said no loaded firearms, regardless of permits, license, all firearms must be unloaded and tagged. WHAT????????? How do we get other business owners to respect CCW holders when we can't even get the gun shows to respect us as law abiding citizens. Is this a good message to be sending?
  5. Gee I wish I still lived in Quantico, VA I come and see this for myself. Then I'd come and shoot it. It looks like a lot of fun and I'm here in Southern Ohio, can't find a 3 gun shoot.
  6. I'm very happy with my M&P 9mm I took it out and put 67 rounds through it on Christmas Eve. I could not believe it, right out of the box it was dead on, I haven't rapid fired it yet but I'm sure it will do just fine. I'm never going to be one of the top shooters anyway, I just love to play the game. I shoot with some really great people who I've found to be very helpful.
  7. Well I had to make a fast choice, I got a very good deal on the M&P, I like the way it felt and knowing it came with a smaller palm swell, it is made here in the USA which I like, I got the M&P. I loved the way it felt in my hand, I like the sights, the true test will be when I take it out and shoot it. I still have my steyr which I have been shooting for almost a year. I plan on selling it if my M&P lives up to my expectations. Wish me luck.
  8. My husband is buying me a new gun, we shoot USPSA I have a choice between a S&W M&P or the bio- tone XD9. Which one should I choose. The guy at the gun shop as a good point about Smith and Wesson being made here in the USA. Alot of cops are going to the M&P. What is a girl to do. Please Help me decide.
  9. Me and my husband love to shoot and we have for years but we were looking for a shooting sport. The first match we went to we just watched, talked to some really nice and friendly people. Those top shooters love the sport, they love to see new people joining the sport. After that we were hooked, we have only shot 4-5 matches. At first I thought I'm not ready to shoot with these guys, what I found I couldn't believe. They were giving me pointers with my stance, and my grip. They encourage me and my husband and we are not exactly spring chickens my husband is 42 and I'm just a few steps behind him that is all I've got to say about that. Go to a match and you will see what we are all talking about. I love it, no matter how well I shoot I always have a great time.
  10. Flex My husband reloads for all of us, we try to practice at least twice a week so we keep him bussy.
  11. welcome to the forum. I am new here too. You will find a lot of helpful people here. Me and my husband have been shooting USPSA now for 4-5 months. Today was my best match ever. We had a great time, very nice RO as we always do. I have not ran into anyone who was not nice and helpful. This is a great shooting sport and very nice people.
  12. I fully understand how I got that, but here is an update if anyone cares. I have shot 2 matches since then and must tell you I have gotten a tad bit better each time. Still shooting no shoots sometimes, still making mistakes due to years of backyard bad habits. I'm still having a blast, can't wait for the next match.
  13. Looking for new sights for XD what would be the best low profile sights fiber optic sights.
  14. Well my family and I had a real good time at the Pickaway Range, and Yes my RO was great. He was shooting my dream gun that I want soooooooooooooooo bad. He was nice enough to take me to the safe area and let me hold the big brother to my dream gun. All of the folks up there are very helpful, now we will be practicing what those nice folks was telling us today. Thanks to all for all of your help. We will be trying out IDPA soon, just for trigger time and all. We really do love USPSA and the C-ville range. Thanks again.
  15. Is there a big difference between USPSA and IDPA and if so what are they? I love shooting and right now I shoot USPSA, I'm still making a lot of mistakes and I have bad habits I'm working on breaking. I have been told I need to try IDPA and from what I have seen and read I'd like to but don't know if there is much of or any difference. I shot at the Pickaway Range today and every time I go I find the folks more and more helpful.
  16. Pharoah Bender I have to ask; did you come home and hold your gun in your hand before you unpacked?
  17. Oh you could tell Tom has a nack for setting up stages. It was a blast, I had a great time. I only wanted to do better than I did the first time and I did that. It was an awesome day.
  18. It is beautiful and well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive. The people were great!! I don't know that we will be able to go every month but I do know we will be going back.
  19. We just couldn't wait another 2 weeks to shoot, so we went to Z-ville, Rayner Range... As with the first time I had a good time, my shots were a little better, still couldn't keep them white targets from jumping in my line of fire. I'm still sure I did a little better than the first time. (I hope I did anyway)
  20. Thank you, I shot that glock today and it is dead on. My husband reloads and we do shoot a lot of reload, but he always loads them on the low specks. I have not had any problems with his reloads in my steyr.
  21. I just got my daughter a glock 17 yesterday. This worries me a little now. I've always heard good things about glocks now I'm not sure. I almost got my girl the XD 9 now I wish I had of. Thank God no one was hurt.
  22. Nope it was just one stage and there was 15 paper targets, no steel, and all the no shoots were up close and personal so I know I didnt' shoot any of them. The RO said I missed 2 targets. I knew I was going to miss at least one, it was not an easy stage. I'm going back next month, I will do better if not I will find out what I am doing wrong. I'm one of the lucky ones I've been shooting for years in my back yard, we have our own small range right behind our house and we have been practicing a lot for this. I felt I did really well except for the 2 targets I missed.
  23. Hey believe it or not I didn't shoot any white targets on that stage, to the very best of my knowledge I only missed 2 targets on that stage, and I don't remember putting my foot over the line. That is why I don't understand how I got so many penality points.
  24. Saturday was my first shot, I felt really good about the day. I thought everything went well over all. My scores was posted and it seems only one stage went well for me the rest of them I did very poorly. Well I'm going to suck it up, and take it like a woman and try to do better the next time. It would be easier if I knew what I did that was so wrong. I will have a good luck charm with me the next time.................now where did I put that dang wabbit?
  25. Does anyone know of any 3 gun shoots in or around Ohio.
