  1. I shot a USPSA side match with Wolf last weekend, no problems with it. The match scores haven't posted yet, but I did pretty good with it, will be curious to see how I placed vs. the guys with the JP rifles LOL
  2. I was shooting the 147's and have recently switched to 124's. I won't say the perceived recoil of the 124 is less than the 147, but it definitely is DIFFERENT. The recoil I felt from the 147's seemed to "torque" more, hard to explain. But the 124's just feel lots better
  3. I believe that the stock springs are 17lbs. As far as the lightest you can go, I think that would depend on what ammo you are using. I tried a 13lb in my G34 using WWB but it wouldn't allow my gun to fully return to battery. I currently use a 15lb spring and to be honest, can't tell a whole lot of difference between that and the factory 17lb spring for my particular application, YMMV.
  4. I'm kinda in the same situation right now. The wife bought me a new 550 for Christmas set up for 9mm. Then I added a case feeder to it. Since setting up the case feeder, I really didn't want to tear it down to change calibers (.223) so I bought another 550. Now, I'm thinking that I'll just sell both of them and buy a 650 so that I can have the case feeder option for rifle and pistol. Can anyone tell me if the case feed on the 650 is compatible for rifle and pistol with the proper conversions?
  5. You've already messed up if you want to shoot Production, you should have bought a Glock
  6. The Winchester SPP's seem to seat easier than the Federals in my 550
  7. How are his bullets for semi-auto guns? Especially G34 in production class. How are his bullets for semi-auto guns? Especially G34 in production class.
  8. I've done a search and can't find anything for them. Anyone have any contact info?
  9. I literally shot thousands of it through my Colt 6920 with ZERO malfunctions. Now, I built an AR for my uncle and used a Wilson barrel, it will NOT feed the Wolf ammo hardly at all, if I remember correctly it was like one FTF every 20-30 rounds.
  10. COOL!!! That's what I was hoping to hear. Looks like there may be two 550's listed for sale soon
  11. Currently using Dillon carbide dies in a 550. Do I really need a Lee FCD or will my Dillon crimp die suffice?
  12. Thinking about upgrading from my 550 to a 650. My question is can you use pistol and rifle cartridges in the same 650 casefeeder by only changing conversions? Or do you need an entirely different case feeder for rifle and one for pistol?
  13. Oops, I meant striker spring, not trigger spring.
  14. I have been using Fed primers exclusively since I started reloading for 9mm. Well, around here, Fed primers are now non-existant so I bought 200 Win small pistol primers and loaded them up. I could not believe how much easier the Win primers seated than the Fed primers (using Dillon 550B). I mean it was daylight and dark on the ease that the win primers seated over the fed primers. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have to "cram" the fed primers in, but the win primers just seem "smoother" Now, I shoot a G34 in production and use a lightened trigger striker spring. Out of 200 rounds today, I didn't have one single light primer strike. I'm sold and bought 10K win small pistol primers. YMMV
  15. I'd possibly be interested in some . . .
  16. I picked up one of their bags last week, I think that it is a very well-made piece of equipment and you sure can't beat the price. We'll see how it holds up this year . . .
  17. I was referring to "knock down" steel, not static steel
  18. OK, I've recently started reloading and have started with some 147gr. 9mm loads. My question is, my finished cartridges have sort of an hour glass shape. Not horribly disfigured, but enough to notice. Is this normal? I thought that maybe it was from the large size of the 147 gr. bullet itself. Thanks.
  19. Never heard of the stuff, but it looks interesting. I'd like to hear how it works out for ya.
  20. Is it safe and/or prudent to re-seat any loads with high primers?
  21. Will a mouse fart 147gr. 9mm bullet load be more effective against steel then say a WWB 115 gr load?
