Hey there. My name is Andy. I’m a total rookie from the great State of New Hampshire. I hope to be shooting out of the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton soon if I can pass the range qualification. I’ve got an incredible instructor and am learning everything I can at this great site. Thanks to the contributors for your valuable posts here! I also play the guitar and I thought we musicians were gear crazy but you guys and gals take it to another level!
Seriously though, it’s very impressive to see the level of thought that goes into your competitions and shooting/reloading in general. I did not grow up around guns but about 20 years ago I got my first pistols (Para 1911, a BHP, and 92FS) and shot at a club for a couple of years. But back then, all I knew about shooting was plinking targets. Things seem to have evolved a bit!
I don’t know what my personal ambitions are related to practical shooting and competition. More than anything I want to be competent and safe gun handler and shooter. But here I am and I love pistols. I’ve been blessed in my day job and have the ability to explore my interests in ways I don’t really deserve. So getting back into shooting over the last year, I have by now started accumulating a few more nice pistols. Being in NH it didn’t take me long to accumulate several Sigs. Then a couple of CZs. Another 1911, etc. I hope every once and awhile I can help answer a question or provide input from my neck of the woods, not that I bring much to the table (yet!). So thanks for listening and thanks for letting me hang around! Andy
