    Sjc Glocks For Open

I have a S & J Customs Glock 17 open gun and love it. John and Steave are great to deal with there and they build a great product. Sevigny finished 5th at the Steel Challenge with one just like mine and I finished in the top 32. The gun is dependable and just plain fun to shoot. My first shot times are quicker than with my STI gun. You can buy a complete 17 for about $2000. Look them up at www.glockjockey.com SAJ
  2. I have been shooting an S & J Customs 17 for 5 or 6 months and love the gun. I mostly shoot steel with it, but shoot a few IPSC matches. I did finish in the top 32 at the Steel Challenge in California. I love the gun and am not the best one for cleaning a gun, and this one keeps going. The gun can be bought for about $2000 complete from S & J Customs. I think buying the gun complete from them is the way to go so you can be shooting instead of tweeking the gun. I love the stippled grip that John does too. My gun shoots any ammo that I have put through it. My STI has been in the safe since I got the S& J gun. Don't know if I will get it out again, unless to sell it. SAJ
  3. I will be there whenever it is. I am glad we have a big east coast match. The Georgia State Steel Challenge match has very good attendance and the Nationals should do well. I just hope there are a lot of side matches. I have a couple more empty spaces in my gun safe. SAJ www.griffinsteelmatch.com

    Glock Open Pistol

I have a S&J Customs Glock 17 Open gun (www.glockjockey.com) that I have been shooting for the last couple of months. I have really been surprised at my ability to shoot the gun. The trigger is like no other Glock I had shot until this one. The gun is light and handles and points great. My draws have been quicker than with my STI. The gun is accurate and recoil is mild. John has put his creative side to work on the grip and made it feel great in your hand. With the big S&J mag well, it funnels my hand to the correct position. As a test, I didn't clean the gun for the first 2700 rounds, and only had two cases that didn't clear the gun. Not bad for a new gun. I haven't picked up my STI since I got the Glock, and not sure that I will. I plan on shooting the Glock at the Steel Challenge in August. It seems like a great buy at $2000 complete.
  5. Western 3 Gun is a fun shooting sport and the top shooters are very good. I have seen a lot of the cowboy top shooters pick up a slide gun and operate it with the best. On the other hand, not many slide gun folks can operate six guns at warp speed. It's something about having to cock the hammer with your thumb.
  6. I shoot it 1,2,3,4, stop, because... the number 3 plate is easy to miss because of the transition past the stop plate, and if it IS missed, it can be picked up on the way back from the number 4 plate with little added time.
