Until the start signal you can't do anything to the competitor. Up until then they are free to discover on their own that they aren't compliant, and fix it. Just as they can suddenly remember to insert a mag after forgetting to put one in. Happens all the time. The only time (of the examples given in this thread) that something could be done before the start signal is if they holster fully cocked with no safety applied, and that's it. DQ obviously.

You're still wrong at least when it comes to USPSA.

The course of fire begins at the Make Ready command.

There are certain things that you cannot do during the CoF without a penalty.  One of those actions that will incur a penalty is lowering the hammer of a selective action DA/SA pistol to any position except all the way down when competing in P or CO.  The penalty is a bump to open.

The start signal, in this particular case, is meaningless.

Can you use it in our games?

Sure you can.  You can use literally almost any belt that is stiff enough in compression to hang a holstered pistol and 3 - 5 full magazines.

Here in the US many (possibly hundreds of thousands) choose to carry a handgun for self defense and our normal belts are designed to do just that.  They'll work just fine in USPSA.

In fact, that's what I used for my first few matches.

I think I’ve covered it at least once in one of these “MOS” threads. I think the screws are too thin and they break too easily.

They are #4-40 screws going into aluminum threads.  They need very little torque because the optic (at least mine) fit very snugly on the front recoil bosses and on the threaded posts of the plate.

10 in-lb would be as high as I go, and with medium strength thread locker.

True, but FCD goes out of their way to say they don’t guarantee their plate will work with a Holosun sight.

I have no idea why they say that.  I've never had one of their products.

What I can tell you is that I have a CZ P-09 and P-07 and Glocks 17 and 19 all milled for Trijicon RDS and my Holosun 507 fits just fine.  It also fits just fine on both the CZ and CHPWS Trijicon optic plates for my CZ P-10s.

  5. I have a CHPWS plate on my P-10C.  It holds the optic extremely snugly, to the point that the optic's screws need to do very little work.

It's an excellent design and well executed.  I base my opinion on 26 years of manufacturing experience.

I've heard some drama going on around the internet with their name on it.  I don't really care as I don't pay attention to that.  I have a good product from them and that's all I care about.

Reading the rule books would be useful.

That's why I've stopped trying to help in threads like these.  People come here asking questions without doing one second's worth of research on their own.  The IDPA subform is the absolute worst for those.

On top of that the OP never came back to engage in dialog, never clearing up if his intention was to use a the same belt system for both sports or not.

If he doesn't care that much, why should anyone else?

Argh!  Sheared the plate of my slide today.  Probably only has around 6-7k rounds through it.

I think if I could find a Gen5 slide milled for RMR in stock I'd buy it.

At least my backup is a Gen3 with Brownells milled slide.  The dot isn't going anywhere on that one...

I have over twice that many rounds on my P-10F OR, still going strong.

Your failure reinforces my opinion of MOS as not good to go.

I was thinking that co-witness would allow me acquire the irons and at the same time have the dot right there allowing me to find it immediately.

Youve already been told that's not how it works.

That is interesting. Planning for all 24 or nearly all seems more dicey than finding enough movement to allow a 'free' reload, not saying that it is (B class hacker here) but when I was shooting limited (20-21 in mag) I can't remember a stage that didn't allow opportunity to keep plenty of rounds in the gun.

Do the pros ever shoot their high capacity mags dry?

Sometimes risky plans come with big rewards and even one more round can provide some extra confidence.

I shoot CO and I plus 1 every single time, both for consistency's sake and because there is zero downside.

I don't understand why we can't just leave Open as the experimental division.  All of Carry Optics and "Open Revolver"  can play in Open.  Open was designed to be the experimental division with few limits.

the knowledge that 'which brand of ammo is the flattest' is a silly question will be invaluable to you once you figure it out. The obvious answer is 'whichever brand you have in the gun when you hold it like a grown-ass man.'

The subjective feelings you mention are something that brand new shooters notice, and usually stop noticing or caring about pretty quickly once they start beating the local 9 yr old girls in matches.

    This explains it all

and also thanks those who understand and willing to be helpful.

on the other hand, some of you, like SRG... you do like to poke at those who just simply wanna lorn.

As was mentioned before, i don't waste time, asking questions.

You the one who wasting time, and envision this is trivia. What a mentality, just practicing??? Practice is just one part of anything you do, knowledge is another! .

Dont waist your time responding, just close this tread and move on the next trivia

LOL enjoy your long time stuck in C class

    well, not academic to me...

is i mentioned previously, im new, relatively, to shooting, and have already experienced different power rounds.

For example , im much more accurate with 9 mm Barnaul steel case vs Winchester 9  115 g.. pistol just responded more subdued in terms of recoil and how its cycles in general.

It's 9X19.....learn how to properly grip a pistol and the choice of ammo won't matter.

As has been said you're wasting time and effort focusing on trivial differences in ammunition.  Time and effort that should be used to improve your grip.

The point is , to discover 9 mm rounds, not reloads, that shot flat( less recoil maybe?) and hit on point of aim target with minimal deviation.. lets say at 25 yards

So this is an academic question with zero practical value.

    Got it.
