My primary has about 15k and backup is close to 5k. I know two folks here in WA that had cracked slides on theirs, one around 50k and the other around 25k. CZ warrantied both I believe.

It happens with both but in my experience is significantly more common with wrists below. A stage that has an uprange, wrists above shoulders start *might* have a DQ during the match. A stage that has an uprange, wrists below belt start *will* have a DQ during the match (a bit of hyperbole but probably >50% chance). -

Here is a fellow RO's rig after the staff match (night before the main match) in 2020.
To be fair, that was early November and colder than average historical temps. Early October average temps are 65+ highs, mornings would be chilly for sure. Comparing to Palisade their historical average highs/lows are quite similar. Bend's temps run about 10 days ahead of Palisade through October. I think the gripe about the redesign of SUPS (which was coordinated by some state entity, IIRC?) is that it resulted in a lot of skinny bays, which constrains stage design/variety.
I'm on the fence about retaining my spot with the move to Alabama. I was really excited about the prospect of a 24-28 stage match and like others was considering linking it with some additional outdoor activities in the area (Rifle, CO has great rock climbing). My roommate situation was also thrown up into the air with the division split.
COSSA in Bend would be awesome (biased since it's not a terrible drive for me) although it can definitely be cold there in October, which I personally don't mind but I know a lot of folks dislike. I've been there a few times including Area 1 in 2019 where they had 15 stages. Looking at the satellite photos they have 17 bays plus two rifle/pistol ranges that they've used for past matches, so 19 total. Knock it back down to 18 for a function fire bay (they've put chrono in same bay as a stage in the past), which puts them on par with Talladega without doubling up any bays. Of course, they have to be willing to host it which I am sure is one of the largest hurdles for USPSA.

Based on his Instagram (binaryeng) he was in the process of moving shop to Texas as of April, so maybe not settled in yet?

I can't give you a Tanfo specific answer but since they are very similar to CZs I can share my experience with the Czechmate. Tuning the CM mags to reliably run JHPs was a pain; it didn't matter if it was a cone JHP like Precision Delta, a rounded profile like the Everglades, or even a flat pointed coated lead bullet; all would snag on the front edge of the barrel ramp when running 170mm mags at full capacity. I even had issues occasionally with 140mm mags prior to tuning. With the CZ mags it can be addressed with careful tuning but RN bullets are considerably more forgiving; I was never able to get my 170s to run 100% with JHPs (maybe like 1/10 29+1 starts would cause a nose dive with JHPs) so I switched fully to RN bullets and haven't had any feeding issues since (closing in on 16k rounds of round nose through mine). I certainly would not recommend anyone shooting a Czechmate pursue JHP bullets. darthdively's comment makes me think the issue is similar with Tanfos.

Sebo Weapons has some optic pattern specific mounts that shift the optic back considerably.

The TSO slide is longer, you will need to chop the slide shorter to make this conversion work with a Czechmate barrel and comp.
Several years ago I asked Cajun Gun Works if they'd do the slide conversion for me and they said they would if I sent them the slide, comp, barrel, guide rod, and reverse plug, but at the time reverse plugs were unobtainable, so I never followed up on it. If you already have those parts on order from Sebo then you could try reaching out to them if you don't want to do the work yourself.

I would expect a less energetic impact to yield less fragmentation: you can tap a piece of glass with a hammer all day long, but if you wind up and give it a good hit, it shatters. Something as ductile as lead could very well behave differently than glass, though.
But at the end of the day if the steel is calibrated and you call your shots then it really shouldn't matter.
I've been using the 115gr .358 Bayou's for my 929 this year and I really like them. They have a great profile and I personally prefer the snappy feel of 115s vs heavy bullets. I also found that they were very fast bullets, over 100fps, ~10PF higher than 115gr Berry's plated. Maybe that was a gas seal issue with the Berry's since they are .356, I didn't test any other 115gr .358s. Probably not helpful to OP unless they want to try 115s...

Those are essentially the same dimensions on mine so I don’t think that’s it. I would verify you are installing the recoil spring & guide rod correctly per Kneelingatlas’s comment. Is your issue getting the assembled slide onto the frame or getting the recoil rod back in the slide with the new barrel in?

Your good one is from an 'A' pre-fix gun; IIRC all of those have the older thinner front lug portion of the barrel that was prone to cracking (it's the same size as the regular TS barrel lug). There should be a year number marked on the slide. My '17 and '19 Czechmates are both 'C' pre-fixed serials. I believe they switched to the thicker front portion sometime during the B series based on context in this thread where someone with B series has the thinner lug and another has a thicker one. You don't want to grind down that extra material on the newer barrel.
If the barrel itself fits, then the issue is presumably with the fitment between the guide rod and the forward face of that lug that the guide rod rests on (or maybe on the recoil spring housing). If you measure the dimensions of your guide rod I can compare to the measurements of mine and let you know where the discrepancy lies. My guess would be that the button part that sits on the forward face of the lug has a larger circumference and is being forced to sit lower (when installed) by the more gradual ramp on the newer barrel.

Although looking at the full Toni CM setup posted above it looks like the holes in that thumb rest might not line up properly with the factory mount holes and are designed specifically for the Toni systems mount/would require drilling and tapping any other mount.

So a little bit of follow-up on this I've had some discussion with Gilbert from GP Arms and he says they bring in both bushing and bull barrel variants and there are no pre-orders, so you just put your name on the list and wait until they have enough come in to fill your order. Sounds like the 1911 Cesar model will be available but GP doesn't currently know what the price on it will be.

No direct comment but I would just take the set that is too tight and sand them down a bit to get the right fit. Replacements are cheap.
