  1. Well how did it go in the box at the club Im in the same boat as OP. However I dont know If CCP is really any better arent they alot more modified in some cases, sorry if thats a dumb question I just started on this journey just shot my first match NOV. 3 it was alot of fun but I need to work on alot of things for sure .
  2. no no thats what I got now Inadverently, but I know the err of my ways already now on that but again your right on the two barrels different tolerances, Whew learning getting back into it. competition rifle used to be relaxing after you got your headspace and such together. I thank you guys roe the help. I got to say I was shocked to sse how it slid in the Glock and not the Smith
  3. Thank you all for you helpful replies , I Thank you for your time and knowledge. Im sure ill have more questions later on next try but I think we got this one handled Thank you
  4. Another thing that may help Im gonna buy some berrys or recommended bullets I bought these at the local reload store just to get things back in order to reload and they are .401" and I have no idea what brand they are , and after looking closely theres a tiny tiny belly in the middle of this round and at he end before the rim is the highspot sooooo i think ill buy different bullets and try this again. these will work in the G22 .
  5. I Can see that being true , wasnt doubting you BTW just giving what info I have, something else is I am using TMJ when i normally shoot RN WIN , but wouldnt OAL just interfere with the feeding ? but the smith you could physically push the round in but wont slide in for sure, the glock it goes right in and it does feed , I just figured If it went in one .40 barrel it would go in another yesterdays feed back is bad then because I originally tried TPT on the S&W, the Glock works.
  6. oddly it does ok in the G22 wont fit the Smith and the OAL is the same as the factory ammo I shoot ans the reload manual they will feed just not slide in the bore on the smith, and all but the last little bit fits the glock probably well enough on the glock you could use them. P.S. 90% of theses pcs of brass were fired from the sed G22
  7. Furrly, I am loading them for a G22 Gen3 and they do "Plunk" in that barrel to just about 0.0625" from the rim but slide nice and easy, now I have a .40 S&W M&P they will go in but snug, too much so for comfort, But I would mainly be using them in the Glock.
  8. nope didnt pass that. I tried that after Jack mentioned it even though I wasnt sure that was the plunk test was but now I do, now does the GSX sizer fix this or pull them all .
  9. NO sir i dont know what a plunk test is ? and the O.A.L was 1.125 " let me go down and look at these monsters and straightedge them so i can give more info and you tell me what a plunk test is ?
  10. Thanks Candiru Im just getting back into it Im not even sure what a roll sizer really is or does, Ive read about it but still not physically familiar with it but down the road Im guessing I will be, But on that note I see more questions, I did just watch something on a automatic roll sizer although it was really cool it was also $2000, Im definately not shooting that much yet. when iused to reload I reloaded mainly benchrest rifle and revolver a few .45 acp nevcer had this case problem and FCD or gsx issue that i know of, didnt own a glock at the time either. So Im carching up here on some of these issues trying to reload for IDPA practice and work up loads. Apparently I need to check my crimp after bullet seating on my die accoding to Jack I may have over crimped after bullet seating, he says that may have caused the bulge but it wasnt set tight it was set to a factory round but I may have I guess. Thanks Candiru for your help.
  11. ok, I work nights , so your 3:00 am is alot of times my 3:00 pm, I did slide some of the cases in the gauge before the sizing and bell and they did fit, after the bell and sizing, I loaded with powder and seated the bullet I set the die to factory shell I had, but I guess its possible that happened because the bulge is at the bottom in most shell just before the rim, pulled a bullet or two and the bullet is crimped abut right no real scarring of the bullet and it wont move pushing on the bench. after removing the bell and causing the crimp to hold the bullet doesnt seem to be overly crimped it is straight not tapered in I set it for a light removal of the bell but ill check that. I relize its not tecnically a crimp but for lack of saying " removal of the bell " each time ill just call it that. Thanks jack for the reply
  12. OK guys great info , Im loaded BUT the cases are glocked wont fit in gauge theyre all alittle fat ar the very end , i did load with hp38 4.8G 180 tnj OA L 1.125 will an grx sizer fix this and thank you Hi-power I did check them as direcred pushed them against the bench the crimp is good they didnt move but that swelling has to go. Im thinking the grx sizer would that be the way to go ?? thank KK for the info .
