I didn't know whether to put this in the training techniques or the resources or here, so if it needs to be moved mods go ahead. So the question is- What training classes do yall recommend taking? As a competitor? For selfdefense or tactics? What classes do you not recommend taking (no bashing just say if it wasn't helpful or if dangerous)? I'll try and update this post with the recommended ones so that people don't have to hunt through the whole thread to find them. I want to try and make this a sticky thread if we can get enough input. As I stated in my introduction thread I am new to the competition would but not to shooting and am looking to broaden my horizons on selfdefense (primarily) and with competition. I also accidentally won an x5 off gunbroker the day before yesterday. Price was super low so I put a bid, fully expecting to be out bid, and no one else bid on it lol. Looks like I'll have it in hand on tuesday. I'm excited! Now i'm waiting on a holster from Ares tactical and I need to get some 17rd mags for production. I only have the 15 rounders for my compact

I prefer green, i’ve heard the same thing about being able to see green better and it’s definitely true for me. It just pops no matter what background there is to me. The only problem is there are not really any dot sights in green either, there is the rmr dual illuminated but thats about it... i hate red dots because its hard to for me to see them. So I don’t use them at all

like the others have said 10mm and 22. But (and this maybnot be popular) i would also love to see a high capacity 380 (more than the usual 6-8) I honestly think this may happen because there are magazines everywhere that are labeled 380 for the p250/p320. It would also just take a different barrel and guide rod to do it too if you have a 9mm already.

Here’s an idea I had recently, I have the P320 pellet pistol, its a blast to shoot and it fits my holsters perfectly so I also use it to practice with since i also carry a p320. What about making a star that can work with a pellet gun? Get the practice and pellets are dirt cheap, even if you get the “expensive” ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it the Brazosland Pistoleros you are thinking of? I need to get in touch with them so I can shoot with them. My only complain is that from what I see the USPSA shoots are almost exclusively on Sundays.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Is there a section for training? Like self defense classes and tactical pistol and such. I want to see what classes people have taken and suggest taking. I recently made it the decision to become a firearms instructor and i want to take as many classes as I can so I can broaden my knowledge base and see how other people approach teaching and such. Plus the training I got from the Seabees just isn’t enough, it was good, just not geared towards what I want to teach for civilians. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here is a question for yall, hopefuly its in the right place. Can I use the x-carry grip module on my p320c and still use it in production? I'm not seeing where the x-carry is approved but the x-5 is and so is the p320 so i don't really know. Any thoughts? Edit: Ignore me I found the answer somewhere else

Hey guys, I'm not new to the gun world but I am new to the competition world. Haven't shot a match yet but I have some gear on the way to get me started and am looking forward to improving my skills all around.
