    .....and safety

trigger prepping where appropriate on a stage while moving aggressively with a sub 1lb trigger likely isn't ideal.

in CZ TSO trigger is about 1 lb in many of them and it's comfortable for  use. but this guns have bigger pre travel  and wider trigger than any 1911 guns. and most important thing that cz don't use  sear leaf spring.

I changed the sub 1lb on my open guns to a ~2lb (changed out springs, incl. leaf spring), because it was way too sensitive, for example to prep the trigger (and therefor also too dangerous for competition purposes). For me personally 2lb is the sweet spot beween a light, but more importantly, a safe and reliable trigger. Except for the high level pro-shooters, I don't think regular competitors gain alot with a sub 1lb trigger, but they can loose alot.

i think that 1.5 lb is very good trigger for any 1911/2011 gun that use leaf spring.

since i don't use  L.S.  i can use  liter trigger set. but i found that 1.5lb  is o.k. for me.

    1. Power Custom fixture allows you to cut primary and secondary sear surfaces and hammer hooks at different angles and depths.  2. Optical comparator allows you to examine/compare hammer hooks, sear nose and mating surfaces/contact area at 40-100x so you can actually see what you're doing instead of guessing.  3. Lots of trail and error until you get it right.

    👍

I have seen several such works. But unfortunately the shooter checks and calibrates them every week. The reason is that I have seen several times how they were disqualified in competitions for automatic fire or stopped during training because the gun fired bursts.

Didn't think that was an option being it's was his Semi-Custom series

From the experiment I did, the trigger system of the 1911 does not function reliably over time with the trigger weights of less than 700 to 650 grams and below. sear leaf spring not always react . This is the reason I perfected and  it works on one of my gun  with 550 grams since 2018 without change and  in other  gun  with 650 grams.

In 2018 when I spoke with Shay he told me that he manages to make a trigger of 1 lb  but it requires a lot of time. And I don't know how long it will last until there are hammer falls.

We’ll the updated checkmate and the checkmate 2 are still not out.

And they have been rumored and reported to be testing for over a year. And still nothing.

Maybe their van's engine water pump broke like with the DWX.

Probably they can't get this water p.  because the van is old.😉

I was told it would be unlikely to be factory produced given that there is no IPSC division for it, I believe I was told that by a CZ team member if memory serves

that said, maybe CZ Custom would sell optic ready models... whenever the TS2 Oranges actually come back on the market again.

Better that way. Because according to the amount of screws that break in the SH2 plates in the models, which are ready for optics, then it will remain without.😉

  7. At the time, when I used to compete, I prepared 3 open guns. One for training and 2 for competitions. In 20 years of competitions I only once needed a replacement when  factory 9mm IMI ammunition blew my barrel chamber.

Yeah I can’t believe they didn’t catch this during RnD… a normal person would assume that was worked out and would have just installed the plate setup as it came.

The extractor was one of the few things I didn’t swap out so I didn’t notice it until it failed.

Say thank , that they didn't  make thread  for this screw  through extractor.😉

After one season of use my TS bushing wore badly.  It was initially tight and shot good groups.   At the end the season the difference between barrel OD and bushing ID was .007".  I replaced it with a 10x bushing and accuracy was restored.

in my TSO  new from the box difference between barrel and bushing was 0.1mm side play and 0.37mm vertical play. CZ custom  hand fit😀 ours CZ dealer ask from cz to sent new factory bushing (gun was still in the store.it takes few months to receive license ) that cost less than 3 eu. and they refused.  good warranty service. 🤣 i ordered from ipsc store  perfect  50 eu bushing .(it's not cz factory part)

Could you please explain what to look for? Or how it should be properly installed ?

Sorry, but it's hard for me to explain, because English is not a language I can express myself well. The bushing in the picture has tight fit  and should be installed by a  pro.

I already replaced with the exact same bushing. Unfortunately Benchrest is not available, but I shot it from sandbag. The results were as mentioned above more in the 7 range

In many of our CZ pistols at the club, the bushing in TSO is horribly installed. Probably by people without basic knowledge in this profession.🙈

    sand bag is OK.

  12. I bought new TSO in 2016 and it had a big backlash  in the bushing. The best group I was able to make with it from 20 meters when the gun was  in rest  was 15 cm.
I replaced the bushing and it immediately started shooting a   2 cm groups  from 20 m. 10 rounds.

Years ago I asked a SVI team member when they had a gun with a similar setup and his response was ”do they work, yes, will it beat an open gun, no”

I prefer a 2 piece barrel and comp, I’ve cracked comps and it was a matter of simply removing and fitting up a new one. With a 1 piece setup, it new barrel time.

You also get to try different comps to see which works best for you

I have a old open gun that was my R&D gun that had at least 10 different comps on it before I retired it to safe queen status

👆best way to find perfect set up that work for u. and much cheaper than 1 piece .
