Got my gauge, but haven't checked yet.
Has anyone had, or heard of one failing yet?
-
Send it to me!

Nice!

Bore snake here also, but I definitely don't have the cleanest guns around.
So my opinion isn't necessarily...........
-
Next level Armament is bigger and easier to get ahold of, plus it holds the gun up a little higher off a table.

I regret that I didn't add some weight to the back before pinning a Minimalist stock on.
I actually have a 4" piece of 3/8" pipe stuck into the make believe buffer tube.
Between that, and the huge barrel nut assembly that came with the new handguard it actually feels like a real gun now
-
I am sure mine needs cleaning also, I shoot it at least twice a month, and generally ignore it, other than dragging a bore snake through it.
I did just buy a new handguard for it to try and add some weight and make it more like my other guns.
So maybe I will start treating it a little better.

Checked mine. Crap.......CRAAAPPP!!!!!
Just kidding, I'm good.
I am pretty sure mine is ok, but ......
I really enjoy shooting mine.
It would suck to be without it for a while.

That's where you store an extra snack.

The big problem I have, is I couldn't afford my current gun build!
Finishing my 2nd is going to get me into trouble with wife.
The big question is....how much trouble can I handle?
Between this buffer system and the difference between my Elftmann and the CMC I just ordered, it is starting to add up quickly.
If I find a couple more bucks to save along the way, it may add up to the point, I can afford to buy an optic!
For what its worth, to anyone else trying to decide, I went with the Blitzkrieg for the 2nd gun also!

You will be fine building it.
Because you are taking time and doing the homework.
Just spend the extra money on the important parts, and it will run.

Looks Good!

Still, there is too much pressure on the internal parts causing the safety to come loose after 10 rounds and other parts in the lower. Dot still bounces up and I'm beginning to think that the barrel may be issue.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated and please discuss optimal barrel length for 9mm.
I have two rifles, and the heavier 16" barrel is easier than the lighter 13.5" to keep on target.
I am thinking that, if you are not currently doing so, you need to try using some blue loctite on stuff to keep it from loosening up.
Also, you might also consider a different muzzle device, because they will make some difference at the higher pressures of the factory ammo that you are using.
(Maybe a VG6 Gamma or a MBX depending how much the gun is traveling, and in which direction)

Anyone else have issues with the CMC AR9 trigger not resetting properly all the time? For some reason I have to physically push it forward after firing at times to get it to completely reset. This is in a QC10 upper/lower + Elftmann push-button style safety + JP rifles 9mm glock bolt.
To be clear, the bolt _is_ catching every single time and pulling the hammer back, but for some reason it does not always get reset properly. I don't have to pull the charging handle back again to reset. I just have to push on the back of the trigger with my index finger to push it forward slightly and then it's able to fire.
Kinda seems like it might be some sort of clearance issue, but I'm not sure exactly what's making contact yet....I would double check for interference with the safety.

Well I was going to start a why do I need a JP GMR15 post but I see there is no consences on them. I currently run an ATI with a hiperfire and am pretty happy with it. I don't know if a gun twice the price of it will give that much better results. I mean I'm not gonna be a better/ faster shooter with it.
If yours runs good, with no hiccups.
You have won 95% of the battle with these things.
The rest is weight or ergonomics.

I am a hotrodder, so I am all about the journey of the build
I would like to have an mpx, but I really love doing the homework, building the gun, and creating something that works well and is exactly how you choose it to be.
Plus if done correctly you might save a buck or two.
(But two dollars is probably all you will save LOL)

I think you are on the right track with a glock QC10 lower and the complete Taccom upper.
Even though it cost a little more, I would go Blitzkrieg buffer and then save yourself a couple bucks on the trigger by going with the CMC.

I haven't messed with it too much yet, but my new V Seven safety will go 57° or 90°
Its pretty nice, with a Titainium center and aluminum levels.
When I first got it, I put it in as 57° and my brain didn't like it, so I installed it old school 90°, with the intention of revisiting the shorter throw later.
Oops sorry
Fine print at the bottom says ambi not compatible with Hyperfire

The short stroked gun will always be flatter if otherwise equal.
That’s such a huge difference you can’t compare.
Next test, gets another spacer to shorten it up!

I spoke to them today and asked them if the AR-9 Match was the same as the AR-15 Match and they said it was not. He said the AR-9 has a stronger hammer spring to help out with the hard functioning of a blow back 9.

Finally got out to test the new replacement Elftmann and HD Blitzkrieg buffer today.
I compared the two rifles (with 115gr blazer brass) and I am not convinced the new Blitz HD version is better, but still working with it. (Not short stroked yet)
Gun 1- (13.5 Taccom tension barrel)
A5 length tube, wave spring in bottom with a quarter, 308 carbine spring, HD Blitz buffer, + weight. (Bolt catch still works)
VS.
Gun 2- (16" barrel/vg6)
carbine lenghth tube, wave spring in the bottom with a quarter, 308 rifle spring, original Blitz buffer.
(Bolt catch just barely works)
Results = gun 2 easier to keep on target.
Next- I only switched the main springs.
Results from change =
Gun 1 - much better
Gun 2 - not much change
(The two are very close now, but gun 2 might still be a hair easier?)
More experiments to follow.

Sweet set of rifles you've got there!
I like the Taccom barrel on the upper rifle... Too bad Taccom stopped making them.
Thank you sir, I have really enjoyed building and shooting them!
I think it's the perfect barrel.
I was really surprised to see they dont do them anymore.
Next Level Armament or Radian Raptor or Factory charging handle for MPX PCC?
in Pistol Caliber Carbine

This comment kinda surprised me, because the NLA is actually cheaper than most of the other charging handles I had originally been looking at.
