  2. i get what your saying everyone, and actually a production GM prob can shhot ? better than an open? his gun has no mods, and all recoil minus load parimeters where the opn person has a flat gun? i guess what i really am trying to decide is what gun to build? i want to buy a competition pistol, either limited or limited with the options to make it open. but I do want to shoot with the big dogs, in all divisions... this is where i learn thanks everyone

  4. Hey everyone. All my life when I start a competition or game etc like pool or darts I always played the best and got beat by the best. I always learned faster and became a force to play against because of that. Do you think this could work for shooting sports too? Go right for limited or open. Get my ass whooped but learn a lot much faster?
  5. thats frustrating as heck, agreed with the rest, bench it, have a second shooter try it, then venture outwards to a pistol smith and see whats up. hopefully it was not fitted incorrectly and if so they stand by there work
  6. can any one tell me the necessary gear to compute power factor? what tools and techniques do you use? i shoot 9 mm but being pushed to shoot 40. looking for a limited pistol but considering an open any advice is appreciated

  8. how much time do you put in? and how did you go about your training for the draw cycle ? did you use a laser program and sert gun or did you just do it all in dry and live fire
  9. Ive never shot a classifier yet. Any tips for success? Im really interested in making this a serious hobby... and I know you have to shoot to compete. Would love to hear what everyone has done in the past and tips for certain classifiers? are there standards to practice?
  10. so what kind of training did everyone use to get to master class? or even grand master? what were your times to achieve such a ranking? I feel like I have the ability but would love some expert advice on the know hows to make it
  11. well armament... thats a big list !!! lol my favorite pistol right now is a CZ SP01 accu-shadow lite but im looking for a limited gun that can or could be turned into an open when the time comes. to be used in speed steel, uspsa and 3 gun i build my own AR's from ultra lights at 4.5 lbs to pigs at 10 plus for longer ranges currently building a practical rifle and ultra light for speed steel and practical competitions. all with fast triggers and quick swing i also shoot an ultra custom 10/22 platform speed demon weighing in a 3.5 lbs and beautifully light and fast fast fast a custom 22/45 all tricked out and for when the 3 gun venture stats i have a JM 930 awaiting my mods as i find them thank you for all the kind words my AR 22lr ultra lights are currently being used by our scholastic shooters in my area, and 4 or 5 of the kids are ranked in the top 10 in the nation.... there fast guns
  12. Hello all, my name is Sean we live in Bellingham, wa. Im a machinist by trade and love to build firearms. Im also an up and coming competitor in the following disciplines USPSA, IDPA and Speed Steel love em all and eventually 3 gun. Im an 07 manufacturer and dealer but im here for me any pointers let me know im new and learning
