  1. The biggest problem I see would be that in a bolt action you can use regular rings while in an AR you most likely need a canteliver type mount to get proper eye relief with a long scope so if you are set on using the same scope on both rifles you might be better of leaving the mounts on the rifle and swapping just the scope but that sounds like a headache imo
  2. My vote goes to the Elftmann also, really crisp and light with a fast reset and they offer it with straight and curved blade
  3. Then that's mostly likely your issue, buffer and spring are not interchangeable between AR-15 and AR-10, just get a rifle buffer and spring for a .223/5.56 and should work just fine
  4. Listen to this man, all you are doing by mismatching buffer parts is masking the underlying problem, if it won't cycle right with a rifle buffer/spring then you have a gas problem
  5. And if everything is brand new sometimes it takes a few mags to break in everything, I would run the bcg wet and some 5.56 ammo since it's higher pressure and see if it gets better.
  6. Try removing one of the weights inside rifle buffer. I wouldn't run a carbine buffer in an A2 tube, the gas key will hit the receiver extension, you match the buffer/spring to the buffer tube not the barrel
  7. To me sounds like you have a very under gassed rifle or using very weak ammo. What ammo are you using? I would remove a weight from the rifle buffer and see what it does
  8. Bah, who needs a wife.... Kahles is $2k so nevermind, at that price range I thing the Vortex Razor HD is your best bet
  9. That should be a pretty soft shooting rifle there, all I could suggest then would be to go for a 18" rifle length barrel or if you want to stay at 16" maybe try one of the stretch16 barrels? Are you using .223 or 5.56 ammo?
  10. Also, are you sure you have the gas block adjusted properly? I'm not a big fan of lighter buffers with full mass carriers.
  11. Not really, they might adjust different ways but at the end of the day all they do is restrict gas flow. Are you running a full mass or low mass bcg? What gas length? My 20" precision AR runs the titan brake, Odin adjustable gas block, JP low mass bcg and captured spring and pretty much feels like a .22
  12. Have you looked into a Kahles 16i or a Swarovski?
  13. Before you start changing buffers I would really recommend to get an adjustable gas block, without it you'll be moving a lighter carrier faster into a lighter buffer that offers less resistance creating more cycling issues and most likely increasing the perceived recoil since everything is moving faster. Like said above its all a system so to run good you need to tune all 3 parts. For gas block I would recommend SLR or Odin works anf for buffer either the JP silent captured spring or the Taccom ULW
  14. Like said above I would try a brand new mag and see if that fixes it, I've switched to the Lancer AWM mags with really good results. Also do what Stealthy said and make sure you are running good factory ammo, no reloads or steel case so you eliminate that from the equation. After that I would look into cycling issues like a worm down buffer spring or carbon I the gas system, gas rings, etc
