The lifter lock is for keeping the chamber empty with ammo in the mag tube. Crossing fences, travelling from one place to another, etc. Keeps it "unloaded" with the ability to quickly load. It's good to know the Nordic Components nut works. They list it in the drop down box on their website, but it doesn't display in the text below after it is chosen. I emailed Nordic about it for clarification and haven't heard back.

Has anyone used a speed bead or rear sight for the M3000/M3K? The M3500 has a speed bead, and the stocks for the m3500 and m3000 seem to be the same. I am hoping to use the shotgun for night hunting.

I do not. I may try to get into some clay target stuff, but most stuff in my area is on Wednesday afternoons. Shotgun purchase comes first.

Hello all from Frankfort KY, I found the site looking for information on the Stoeger M3000 and it's use and abuse. I do not 3-gun, but do appreciate reading about how well guns hold up to usage, and their modification.
