Since the short test session I have only shot a 150rnd club match. I started to feel what I thought was grit in the break but by the end of the match it smoothed out. I remember him mentioning in one of his videos to give it a few hundred rounds to wear in.
Performance wise it's impressive. Travel is super short and pulls light while running the 4.5lb striker.

Yes, I've had this same experience
ISMI or Wolff?
I ended up going with a 15lb Wolff paired with a 4.5lb striker spring.

Anyone else noticing a need to run a slightly heavier spring in the Gen 5 to get the same results? I think the new longer guide rod is reducing a bit of spring preload.

I received my comp kit today and was able to get in a quick trip to the range. Very impressive with no adjustment needed. I'm still undecided on the break and think I will need to put a few hundred more rounds through it to really get a feel for it. I can say the pre/over travel and reset are the shortest I've seen and all the safeties are working.

The Jager rod for the G17 Gen 5 also fits the 34.

Dillon seating die? If so I found you will get the ring those and some other plated bullets. I never found it to effect accuracy. Despite that it always did bother me so I have since switched to a Lee die.

So far so good. My trigger is already on it's way.

I'm curious what you think as well. After talking to him for a few minutes today I ordered his competition kit for my 34 Gen 5.
-
I previously ran a 13lb ISMI and now a 14lb Wolff in my 17&34.

I prefer 147's and just about everyone I know does as well in their Glocks. I've always had good luck with Titegroup (3.0 coated & 3.2 plated) and 147's rn or hp around 1.140". Do a search and you should find plenty of info.

Both my Gen 4&5 had the standard (7534) release installed from the factory. The extended is only a +.75mm difference with a bit larger radius on the corner.
The Vickers release is nice as well.

I upgraded mine to a factory extended (08794). It's a small increase but seems to do the trick.

I sent an email asking about that and was told it does not include the Gen 5 MOS.

The Gen 5 .270 heavy guide rod works great in both the 17&34.

I have tried a few different base pads and prefer the +.200 Dawson's. Most others are nice as well but hard to beat Dawson's price/free shipping.

I just picked up my G5 17 last weekend and other than the stock plastic sights having me hitting low I'm very happy with it.
I typically like the dot connector but in this gun I threw in a polished minus connector and found I prefer that. I tried a 4lb striker spring and it wouldn't reset the trigger safety and the 4.5lb would just barely. I may order a 5lb and a plunger spring to try but for now I'm happy with polished OEM parts and springs.

I previously ran Arredondo 's and currently use TTI. Both work great but I preferred my old Arredondo pads.
-
You should be able to easily accomplish that with a little polish and a lighten striker spring. If that's not enough Taran Tactical is now offering their GM 3.25 kit for the Gen 5.

How has this mount held up? Does this design allow the plate to fit flat to the top of the slide without a gap?

He talks about his setup on one of the more recent American Warrior podcasts. It's a great interview with all sorts of good info.

That's what I ended up getting myself and it definitely help keep things solid. If you don't already have one I recommend the Boss hanger as well.
Guide rod for Gen 5 34.

I picked up another rod for my 17 but this time I went with the ISMI spring to compare. I found I could still run a 13lb but the 15lb felt better. Most of my other Glocks use ISMI so I will stick with those but either spring seems to work well in 15lb with my Gen 5's.
