  1. I've been trying different fmj's lately since the price difference has closed up but decided to grab a few boxes of Xtreme 147's during their Halloween sale.  The quality looks the same and to my surprise I received a shipping notification the fallowing day and they showed up on my doorstep 2 after that.  They used to take 1-3 weeks.

I've read from a few people that the minus connector in the gen 5 glocks makes them feel "mushy". I haven't tried myself so I am curious your thoughts. Since you are running it, can you give me an idea of the overall feel? Thanks.

I found it to be really smooth and has a nice break with the stock springs.  Not sure what connector came in the comp kit I tried out but it gave it a mushy break that was just awful.

Everglades 124gr Recess base RN is all I use now since switching from their 147gr bullets.  They remind me of the Berry's hollow base round nose bullets.  Accuracy is really good and their special price is attractive.  They always offer free shipping.  My load is 3.4gr of Titegroup with a 1.130 OAL

Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

Sounds like accuracy isn't an issues.  I'm curious about velocities compared to a standard base 124gr .355-.356 dia bullet and if the base will really allow for a better seal.  I think i may have a few Xtremes I can load up for comparison.

The top of the grip on the original palm swells do not come up as high as they do on the thin grips.  I like to grip high on the gun so had my S2 palm swells made with the extended tops added.  If you give him a call he will get you squared away.

  5. I'm liking the custom palm swells so much I upgraded my original thins to a second set.  Looks like I have no other choice but to get another CZ for the black pair.

  6. I had the the CZC Comp hammer in for a few matches and went back to stock.  It felt great when dry fired but just wasn't working out in live fire.  It was nice and crisp I just shoot better with a smooth break.  I think it just depends on what kind of trigger break you prefer.

  7. I agree with previously stated advice to leave it stock or near stock for a while.

After experimenting with a Pre B Disco & Comp hammer I discovered that to me at least these were not really upgrades but just a way to change the way the trigger feels.  I found that other than a little take up I personally prefer the stock parts.

Off-topic question: I've just installed a 10lb recoil spring on my gun, is it normal for the guide rod to "go out" of the frame like this ? (sorry for my bad english :( )

Rack the slide a few times and it should fall into place.  If not just remove the guide rod then reinstall it and that should do the trick.

Anyone know the weight difference between Lok palm swell shadow 2 grips and the Henning aluminum  shadow 2 grips?

My S2 palm swells come in at 1.87oz (53g) for the pair minus the screws.  I do have extended thin style tops on mine but can't imagine that little material adds much weight.

  10. I just received a set of custom high top S2 palm swells today.  I will need to test them out live fire but so far I'm really liking how they fill the hands compared to the thins.
