  1. Ok so I shouldn't have any issues in 9mm major. Especially with the compensator?
  2. this is good to know. I have read they move faster than plated and jacketed. I have a short barrel so was hoping they would help me make major
  3. Just wondering if anyone here is running a 125gr black bullet international bullet in a compensated 9mm major gun. I ordered some but just heard they may not be good in a compensated pistol for 9mm major. Thoughts?
  4. going to have to check if the case has made contact with the extractor. So if the extractor is tight and not letting round chamber and is flinging brass really far, I would need an extra power spring and not a lighter one?
  5. I ordered some bbi 125gr. Gonna give them a try. Seems most people say the coated are faster than then plated and jacketed. Should be easier to make major in a shorty then correct?
  6. Cz said they did adjust the extractor but still doesn't seem right
  7. Hmmm you could be on to something. That does make sense. Especially considering this gun flings my brass like 20 feet with factory recoil spring.
  8. Do you chamber check your loaded ammo? I'm just wondering if your ammo plunks right in the barrel if you disassemble the pistol? How does factory ammo feed? Have you chamber checked factory ammo? Can you easily slip an empty case into the extractor with the slide removed? that is a factory mag tech 180gr. Not spent at all. Brand new factory load. I do chamber check my ammo.pretty sure Ammo isn't the problem. Tried federal and mag tech today. Neither one worked right. Yes I do chamber check every single round I load. Ammo passes plunk test as well.
  9. This is a picture of the jam. Empty chamber but gets stuck on an angle going up into the chamber.sometimes I can just push slide forward and it will go in. Other times I have to pull back on slide a bit and then push forward again.
  10. I will take pic when I get home. I currently am using the stainless steel guide rod as well. I have the factory recoil spring and internals. Tried 2 different types of factory ammo. My reloads are 1.135 but I have tried everything from 1.110 to 1.150.
  11. there it is! Thank you. That's why it wasn't coming up in my search. It's in the open gun area. I've been searching the 9mm/38 caliber area.
  12. My plastic guide rod was chewed up after less than a box of ammo. Sounds like you've identified your problem ... not sure what causes the chewed up guide rod or if it's related to failing to feed. I'm doubting a mag issue since it happens on all 6 of my mags.
  13. I had considered it being a mag problem. I had purchased 5 mags for it and have the springer base pads. So just to be sure I purchased another 10rd mag. Same thing with that mag as well. My plastic guide rod was chewed up after less than a box of ammo. Metal one is even a little chewed up. Oh and yes, mag release is wayyyy to long.
  14. I purchased a cz tactical sport 40. It has been nothing but a headache. Worst purchase I have ever made. Fails to feed several times per mag. I've tried with and without bushing on plastic guide rod. Tried with and without bushing on an aftermarket ss guide rod. Have tried a few different kinds of factory ammo. Have tried reloads ranging from 1.110 to 1.150. I gave up on trying things so I sent it back to cz. They "adjusted breech face lead in, extractor, and slide stop". Got it back and still fails to feed... was my first cz purchase and definitely my last... anyone else have trouble with theirs?
  15. I searched major 9mm bullets and the open bullets you suggested. Still haven't found it.
  16. Curious what your favorite 9mm major bullet is. I've tried 124gr xtreme and montana gold. Looking at possibly trying 125gr blue bullets. Any feed back on those or anything else I should be trying? Preferably someplace that is fast with shipping. I like xtreme but 2 weeks to get my order is rediculous.
  17. Cabelas seems to always have them. Just checked. They have the small pistol match in stock. 200m
  18. wow I'm shocked you are making major with 4.2gr of titegroup. One of my major loads is 4.6gr of titegroup, 1.135, 180gr xtreme, and it's making avg of 950fps out of 5.4 inch barrel. I'm loading much shorter and have a longer barrel.
  19. were those major loads? Primer looks pretty flat. I've used a lot of stepped brass for minor. My minor loads are pretty light though.
  20. When you guys say no hole or holes. Are you referring to the compensator or the barrel having holes?
  21. I purchased some silhouette to try for 9mm major. Just wondering what you are using with silhouette for 9 major. I have the shorter 4.26 trubor barrel with t2 comp. Was looking to use either 115gr xtreme or 124gr Xtreme or 124 montana gold. Open to any other suggestions too. Thanks
  22. What's the reasoning for not keeping the stepped brass for major? Is it because it takes up room for the powder or because it's weaker in some way?
