  1. I have the Czechmate grips which are thin. The mag release actually hurt. I took about 3/16 off today. Hopefully that helps the problem.
  2. Anyone else have a problem with the mag release digging into their left palm near thumb? It literally ribs skin off. Wondering if they make a smaller one or if anyone has cut theirs down?
  3. Just out of curiosity, are you lubing your brass?
  4. Wondering if someone has any idea of the spring weight of the light recoilmaster. Switched to a standard guide rod and 9lb spring. Wanna make sure that isn't too light for a short lightened slide for 9mm major.
  5. I can run factory ammo in my matchmaster. The ammo I use for steel challenge is a 124pf. I never tried it with the factory spring though. I just swap in a standard guide rod with a 7lb spring. Shoots very nice.
  6. me personally won't shoot anything that doesn't pass the plunk test. I know some people save the ones that don't pass for practice. I toss em. If your dies are setup right, you shouldn't get many if at all that don't pass test.
  7. my sti must be a lemon because my gun did not like the 124gr mg. Maybe that is your problem too? Out of curiousity, what brand of factory ammo do you have that is 1.155? That's longer than any factory ammo I've ever measured.
  8. do yourself a favor and add the twist when determining the col of a round.
  9. you take the barrel out of the gun. Drop a round into the chamber and twist it. Make sure it fits inside the chamber and doesn't hit the rifling
  10. Wow that's great that it's reverse temp sensitive! I was making 170 pf with 7.0gr in 74°.
  11. 8.3 in a trubor??? Sounds high. Surprised you got 8.3 gr to fit in the casing. 8.0 seems to leave no space once bullet is seated.
  12. yup. You can reload any brass as long as it isn't cracked. Also, if you have an android phone, download the app called reloading assistant. It's worth atleast 20+ books worth of data.
  13. that's normal. My blast shield turns black and my c-more get cloudyhmmm. i have shot over 500rds through mine and not a speck of anything on my comp, blast shied or lensI always get carbon build up on the blast shield. My comp is all black inside too. I get black comps after shooting anything yup me too.

  16. I've done that before. Slide release spring. The part of the spring the red arrow points to needs to be under the pin the blue arrow points to. Make sure it isn't above that pin.
  17. This is true. I found out when I went from 124gr MG to the BBI 125gr. My 124gr MG load was 7.1gr of Autocomp and was getting a power factor of 174. I tried the same load with the 125gr BBI's and my power factor was close to 180. I lowered my load from 7.1gr to 6.8 of Autocomp for the 125 BBI's and was getting around 174 power factor.that bullet with that powder at 1.165 gave me 175 and 176 out of my full size guns. Definitely faster than MG by a whole bunchWow so even with the flat point you still loaded them that long?Yes, with room to spare.cool. Thanks for the info. They arrive tomorrow. Gonna load them up with either silhouette or autocomp. Leaning towards silhouette though since it burns a little slower.

  19. I went matchmaster. I mainly wanted a steel gun but wanted the option to shoot major in uspsa if I chose to. Match master has no problem running lighter loads. I just switched to a 7lb recoil spring for minor. Mine will shoot factory ammo without issue like that. As to original post, might be softer shooting because the compensator is longer and heavier than the t1 the steel master has? The weight I would assume help keep the muzzle down. I run 5.2 gr of ac in some of my loads as well but mine is with 115gr bullets.
  20. Only reason I ask is because generally the people that run that light of a bullet, they do it for the bigger powder charge to make more gas for the compensator. On a stock glock, a combo like that usually makes more muzzle flip.
  21. Just out of curiousity, why do you wanna run such a light bullet in your glock?
