It's a personal choice. I prefer side mounted. No ejection problems with mixed brass 9mm. Closer to the bore, easier transition between irons and dot.
I did pick up a 45° mount--going to play with it when I get time. Might be the best of both worlds.

Looks like they were playing with red dots in the mid 1980's.

95 yd full size pepper popper at a club match. One shot stage. The low time was a Limited shooter. Draw-aim-hit 2.6 seconds. No PCC
IIRC around 40% zeroed it.

If your referring to a 2011 double stack, then contact Jason here:
https://www.extremeshooters.com/
They can modify your existing polymer or one of their offerings to fit many different hands!
This^^^^^. My wife has tiny hands, and her setup is:
One of Jason's Extra Small grips, double undercut, less aggressive stippling.
SV trigger with a short curved insert
Low pad thumb safety (Brownell's)
Mitchell right side mag release--she uses her trigger finger to hit it.
Thumb rest "generic" moved back so it uses just the
front two holes, machined to clear slide stop.

Had one crack in the same place and the little chunk break off on a open gun last year. Ran it for several months with the chunk missing. That little
piece really doesn't do much---just supports a bit of the extractor and the corner of the firing pin stop. Eventually you will need
a new slide. Don't have the new one scalloped quite so deep. I suppose you could give welding a try, nothing to lose.

Loaded some Bear Creek 230's WAY down many years ago. IIRC I was down to a bit under 3 gr of Titegroup.
Went down to a 7 or maybe 6 lb recoil spring in an old 1911. Functioned fine, and watching the bullet fly to
the target is a hoot.

Production limits the position of the holster to behind the hip point, and no "race " holsters. Any decent kydex holster on a drop/offset hanger is about as good as it
gets.
Limited is a whole different thing. A good race holster like a Double Alpha or several others, set up with a muzzle forward cant and located on the
belt forward of the hip point requires near zero shoulder lift to draw.

..1st. person that comes up with a AR pistol holster wins..
What do I win?

Going to be more than a few opinions on this one-----Personal preference is balanced on my trigger finger with half a big stick loaded.
-
Simple solution---If it makes you nervous sending money to strangers online, don't do it.
That said, I have NEVER had a problem with an established member on this forum.

I'm going to be SO glad when they get all the rules in one "rulebook"!

Does not appear to be. It's OK in carry optic--but not in Production.
Checkering, Stippling and/or Applicationof Grip Tape (Production Division)Checkering, stippling, and/or tape may only be applied to the areas illustrated bythe dashed line boundaries which include the fackstrap. Grip Tapecannot be applied to any part of the slide, trigger, trigger guard, or any lever orbutton.Grip Tape or Grip Sleeves cannot disengage a grip safety. -
My old major 625 load for USPSA was 5.7 gr of Red Dot under a 185 gr Berry's plated HBRN. Went around 171 out of a 5" gun. Clean and soft.

When I reload I can watch the primer sled going forward and the primer is in the primer cup correctly.... but I am still getting 5-8% of my primers going in sideways....
What am I missing??
If you can see the primer sitting in the cup on the slide correctly, then whatever is happening is happening as the ram/shellplate comes down over the primer. Make sure the little
paperclip spring is holding the case in the shellplate correctly. Make sure the shellplate is registering on the detent correctly. Check for a bent primer cup stem. Watch the
pin on the primer slide hit the stop screw, and cycle it a few times to make sure the primer cup is coming straight up through the shellplate without bumping the side of the hole.
If it bumps the hole the primer will bounce and can turn sideways.

Anybody recognize the powder sitting on the bench?

Uspsa has never posted combined results, it's not actually a thing per the rules. It is just the thing most of us care about at L1 matches

Yup----But when they said they were "working closely with the Practiscore team" I was hoping they would provide the
same match results on USPSA that I can get on Practiscore. No big deal. Combined results and the ability to drop out classes and categories is
easy on Practiscore.
-
OK--just loaded it up, did a check of results from a recent match to see how it worked.
Not seeing a way to break out categories, and no way to display a combined overall??
If that's the case it's a good tool--but I'll still use the Practiscore app to check match scores.

Go early and watch how the stages are being shot. I've seen walkthrough times as low as 2 minutes----hard to formulate a plan in that
amount of time. If you can actually walk the stages that's even better. Pay attention to where you are in the shooting order and be
ready to shoot --physically and mentally--when it is your turn. Hydrate. Have fun.

4.1 N320 under a Bayou 200 gr RN. WSPM primer. 1.200 OAL 171 PF. KKM barrel in a 5" 2011.

Can you get the problem to repeat on the bench? If so remove the grip safety . That gives you a nice window to watch the
workings of the trigger/sear/hammer/thumb safety.
-
Can you set up at less than 25 yds? If so, take a looks at the Dot Torture Drill.

Pretty sure they are 6-48x5/16. I've probably got a set---I'm about 40 miles south of Portland.
I didn't use them on an install--my slide cut is threaded 6-32.

3N38 runs soft, flat and clean in my guns. Downside is that it is a FULL case. I've tried pretty
much every powder suitable for Major 9, (and a few that were not) and I keep gravitating back
to HS6.
