I can strongly recommend American Mountain Supply. Very well made.
+1 on American Mountain Supply. Great people to work with. Had a bag made for the wife's open gun. Purple with her name
embroidered on it. 5 years ago, still in great shape.

If you happen to need to check loaded moonclips while at a match, you won't be DQ'd for handling a gun with ammo when you're not at the make ready position.
What? Please explain how this would not violate 10.5.13
10.5.13
Having a loaded firearm other than when specifically ordered to by the
Range Officer.
Loaded firearm
A firearm having a live round, empty case or dummy round in the
chamber or cylinder or having a live or dummy round in a magazine
inserted in the firearm.

We have 2 9mm 1911's . One Colt, One Springfield. Both 5" guns, used in USPSA Single Stack so mags need to be 10 rd.
Neither will run Wilson mags. The Colt runs 100% with Tripp Cobra Mags. Springfield likes Dawson. 99% of the ammo used
is a RN or TC poly coated 147 gr over enough N320 to make 132 PF with an OAL of 1.145.

Interesting. That's the only major part on my 550B that has ever broken. Friend of
mine also broke his. Neither press had ever loaded anything but pistol ammo.
20+ years of grinding out ammo, new part in 2 days----no complaints!

Manual here: http://www.competitionelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/pocketPro2_10-09.pdf
Only mention of any reset is on page 9. Was not aware and can find no reference of it storing any previous strings.

Sounds a bit goofy---but carefully eject one you have thumb bumped into battery and see if it has a scrape mark on the bullet on the
side that was at the top of the chamber. I've had truncated cone 9mm bullets scrape on the sharp edge of the step the case mouth
headspaces against. Chambering cutter leaves a tiny burr, bullet scrapes across it just enough to slow the slide. Frustrated the heck out
of me until I figured it out. I polished the edge with a fine Cratex cone from 10-2 o'clock and the problem went away.

If you have steel targets a fault line/barrier to comply with 2.1.3 would be appropriate. Other than that
there really isn't much need of fault lines in a jungle run.

Columbia Cascade section match here in Oregon used to be split between two clubs roughly 15 miles apart.
That was back in the day that each club had roughly 6 bays. Worked OK. Split into two groups of squads.
Shoot one range Saturday, one range Sunday then everybody gathered for awards etc at one range.

No idea on the 650, but I do have a 550B. How is it "not a problem" on the 550B?

If you are cutting back a 5" slide nothing changes on your recoil system. The front end of the reverse plug just sticks out under the comp
1/2" or so. Should work fine. Lighten the heck out of the slide, work up some light bullet loads and shoot steel.

Solo had significant variation lot-to-lot, to the point where many production runs were rejected because they were
out of spec. and they took it off the market. Any time I bought a jug that was a different lot I had to chrono it and adjust.
Darned stuff varied from 3.9-4.3 gr for the same 170 PF in my 45 acp/230 gr match load.

Glocks generally do not like weight hanging on the end of the barrel. Try it without the sight block. If
it runs, put the block back on and try a lighter recoil spring. 13 lb is a good start.
If it doesn't run with the sight block off--problem is elsewhere. Hood fit, ramp, lug to locking block?
Define what you mean by chokes on ammo--that would help to narrow the suspects.
Drop in parts do not always just "drop in"--even on a Glock.

Interesting. Wasn't aware a locked breech system would run without one. The little blow-back tip-up Berettas
don't have any extractor, and they seem to work fine.

Just for giggles, try a WSPM primer. When I was loading 40 minor with N310 a few years ago I could not find small pistol primers.
Found some magnums---they dropped my SD from 40's to around 12. Velocity increase was around 10 fps.

Vihtavuori lists a 9x21 load with a 147 and N105 that makes major. I picked up some 147 Everglades and played around with them a bit.
Full size open gun, KKM barrel, 3 .156 popples, Bedell comp. Mixed brass, WSP primers, 1.175 OAL.
Around 150 PF it was super soft and the comp was starting to work a bit. Went out to 171 pf---wasn't impressed. Gun felt a bit
sluggish, dot track was no better than my normal 115 load.
It's probably easier on the gun being a standard pressure load?

"Unsafe gun handling" is covered under rule 10.5 in the IPSC rulebook. Read it and ask nicely which part of 10.5 you violated.
-
4.1 N320 under a 200 Bayou RN coated at 1.200. 171 PF out of a 5" KKM barrel.

I grab it in my cordless drill. Hit it a touch on the belt sander to round the corner, then to a soft polishing wheel
while spinning it with the drill.

Explain? All I see is the donate box that's been there forever.

What powder? Really fine powders make the powder slide hard to move. AA7 and SP2 come to mind.

Wouldn't be grounds for a DQ even if they were live rounds. Sounds like a couple of RO's need to brush up on the rules.
Yes----it is a DQ.
10.5.13 Having a loaded firearm other than when specifically ordered to by the Range Officer.
Loaded firearm A firearm having a live round, empty case or dummy round in the chamber or cylinder or having a live or dummy round in a magazine inserted in the firearm.

Been playing around with loads a bit lately---goal was to come up with a minor load that would be soft and light and still work the comp
on our 9 major open guns without making any changes to the guns.
Getting close to that goal with a 124 and a fair bit of Shooters World 037.02--
But in the process I loaded some 147's with VV N105. Currently at 155 pf running 6.5 N105 under a RMR 147 plated at 1.165 OAL
S-O-F-T, starting to work the comp. Gun does not feel sluggish. Going up to 7+ and see what happens.
Interesting that VV load data publishes a major PF load. It's under the 9x21 data, but OAL is 1.160. 147 bullet, N105 powder 167 pf.
It's the only published bullet/powder combo that makes major that I am aware of. Not +P or +P+----standard pressure. Standard for
9x21 is 34,080. 9x19 is actually higher at 35,000.

Short thumbs here. Wilson on my Single Stack guns. Still have a couple of STI paddles---but my current favorite is the Double Tap.

603 works well. Last couple I've done I used 680. Regular red just doesn't seem to hold up.
Even with the loctite a single 6-32 is required for peace of mind.
