  1. I'm in the same boat but when I dabble in limited its with a TS 40, while I shoot a Stock 2 in production. I do think I mess myself up a little when changing platforms. I shot a recent classifier match with these two guns and I definitely struggled a little during the first array of each stage re-adapting to the trigger and recoil impulse.

I've had a few people tell me that since I am a new shooter I should stick with production because I will learn more, whether that's true or not I have no idea.

  2. Mine is giving me issues now. It used to index a little past where it should and now that I replaced the square plastic piece it will either go to far or not index all the way. I cleaned everything, lubed and polished, but its still not working right. Any ideas? Its 5 months old and has seen 1.5k rounds and I use the auto disc powder system.

I'm about to curb stomp it and get a 550 to go with my 650.

  3. I've been trying to fine the right recoil impulse myself. I like how 124s felt with an 8lb spring but I was having issues with feeding so I went back to the 9lb spring. I guess I'll just have to bump the load up a bit to get the feel I want. I didn't crono the load but was shooting 125 bbi 1.100 3.8tg.

  4. I just got a bench from harbor freight and the quick change inline fabricaton stand for my lee presses. Once I loaded the bottom shelf with bullets the table became very steady.

The best part is now that I'm in the house and not the hot shed, the wife will fill primer tubes and hundo case gauge/box the bullets for me. Why couldn't I have done this sooner.

  5. I ordered a 10 pack of the plus 5 spring they offer but it seems that the spring doesn't fit on the basepad side. I'm beginning to think these springs don't work with the LF magazines. Or maybe I'm supposed to bend the end of the spring to make it fit? Also the springs are shorter than the factory ones. I'm using factory mags with sp pads.

    Can anyone confirm my suspicion?

  6. My lee bullet seater die seems to do the crimping all by itself. I can screw the adjustment stem all the way in and adjust at actual die for seating depth and it will still put a .373 crimp on the case. It pretty much makes my dedicated lee crimp die a waste. I was wanting a .378 crimp but due to my seater die crimping when I don't want it to I cant get my case that wide. Sometimes it will cause lead bullets to catch and cut on the brass.
