  2. Just a little more info on this match for next year!

We've got a new website especially for the international shooters! http://rm3gworld.webs.com/

I know that people from outside the US need a good deal of lead time!

15 stages over 5 days with team shoots and a Junior Shoot-Off!!! August 5-9 with prizes etc August 10!!!!

Hope this helps! Please feel free to ask questions! Sponsors - feel free to sign up early! :goof:

    Thanks,

    Denise

i would think that the 'veterans' from all the past RM3G matches would get first crack at signing up. ?????????

  3. I'm looking for a room available in the log cabins for the He-Man shoot. I will be driving in on that Friday. Wondering if theres a group of guys that needs an extra to get a log cabin or if y'all have a bed available. Please let me know. I'm also looking for a room for the RM#G shoot as well. thanks.

there are no cabins available for the He-Man. The Center had a prior event planned that required the use of the cabins.

  4. I'm working it again this year. But from Colorado Springs I could just about walk there.

Had a delicious, ass kickin practice last night at Pueblo West. 500rds rifle out to 600 with running and pushups, off hand, prone, awkward shooting possitions. It was great... and I just popped 4 ibuprofin, cuz my body is gonna linch me for such offensive behavior. I can barely walk up the stairs to my office here at work.

sympathy is in the dictionary. the "R" word is refrigerator wherein we keep the beer.
  5. I try to get in the good graces of all RO's on the stages by being the first to run down range to reset. It is amazing how appreciative a group of RO's can be when a squad works hard at reset. I also always make it a point at the stage brief when the RO's are introduced, to thank them for their work, then shake their hand and tell them thanks again when the stage is over. I don't do this to "suck up", it is done because I have been in their position and I remember the little things that I really appreciated about some of the shooters.

Being an RO, CRO, RM or MD is a very tough job, we as competitors sometimes forget that. Maybe having an award for "best RO squad" and "fastest reset squad" would help with this situation. It would help keep RO and competitor alike, focused on the true intent of the sport, that is being on a range together having fun while shooting guns in a safe manner.

it has to be the Sierra Squad!
  6. i shot my M1A until 5 years ago at the CMMG match. Friday was okey dokey. Saturday I couldn't focus on the front sight. Not so good. After that match I picked up an AR platform .308 and started using a scope. if my old eyes had held up, i would still be shooting my M1A. This last year i developed cataracts. I have one corrected, but not the other. that will have to wait until next fall when my shooting season is over. and no, the one they fixed is not my shooting eye. sigh,

  7. Wynn,

I've held that belief for a long time. You never see a port that has a cement block in front of it for the shorter folks, but, man the tall guys get hosed repeatedly, and I'm not as tall as Chuck.

(When I saw you were the original poster, I was wondering if you were going to have port and cigars at the cabin after the shooting is done for the day. :roflol: )

maybe Merlot and cigars, even tho i don't use tobacco.

  8. Be sure to use a magnet. I use 135 gr. Sierra Match Kings. They group 1 MOA or less out to 600 yards. (mebbeso i don't, but they do.) For short ranges (200 and under) just about anything will do. there are some good buys on 125 gr and 150 gr. hunting bullets. In 3 gunning 2 MOA is good enough.
