  1. That sounds like a ton of fun, hope it continues to treat you well.
  2. Almost wish I hadn’t seen this. I wasn’t lucky enough to see Shooting USA on TV, but I love watching clips on YouTube. Iconic voice.
  3. I’m also interested to see how you’ve liked this pistol so far and how that match you mentioned went for you.
  4. With practice you should be able to discern whether the dot is moving/disturbed during trigger press, even with a target focus. I would trust the feedback that the Mantis app is giving you.
  5. For regular 9mm, reloading has always take a while to recoup startup costs, even more now that primers are expensive.
  6. I load on a 650 so I’ll be on the lookout for CBC brass. Thanks for the tips all.
  7. Didn’t want to clutter the revolver forum, since these snake guns don’t seem to have a place in action sports. I bought a 6” new style Python yesterday, pretty disappointed to be honest. It has to go back to Colt for repairs before I even had a chance to fire it. The cylinder will lock up every dozen or so trigger pulls, similar to the widely reported problems when they first released. So it seems for at least some revolvers, Colt hasn’t fixed their QC issues yet in 2023. The trigger is only OK as well. 9.5-10# double action, and 5.5# single action with a little creep.
  8. I just think it’s great that there are more affordable 2011/double stack 1911 pattern options now. I wasn’t in love with how the Prodigy grip felt in my hand, but that’s just me.
  9. Thank you to everyone who has contributed such a wealth of knowledge to this site over so many years. I’ve been a member since 2015 and this is my first post. I’m interested in participating in shooting competitions such as USPSA, Steel Challenge, and IDPA, but have only competed in a couple of informal shoots and a steel challenge match. I haven’t been able to participate in the past due to working weekends and previously living in remote locations, but now that I’m working in LA county and living in Ventura county I’d love to get out there.
