  1. My JM Pro runs flawlessly after I followed a guy's post with pics that details going thru the gun out of the box to prevent anything missed at the factory from causing problems. That, combined with some parts from Oregon 3Gun and dry Teflon spray lube for the piston (NEVER WET LUBE PISTON OR MAG TUBE). If you wet lube the gas or mag tube spacer, it will work fine with buck or slugs, but... With light loads those parts will have trouble overcoming the liquid resistance of the lube due to tight tolerances. Like picking up a cold condensates glass off of a glass table. Overall I'm at about $800 total (including gun) for the things I've done to the gun, but it eats everything, shoots FAST, & never malfunctions.

  2. I shot a P226 Legion in 9mm yesterday. The trigger is the smoothest Sig trigger I've ever handled, and I've been shooting P-series Sigs for over 15-years (work and fun). The reset is short, and "feels" shorter than my SRT Sigs, but that could just be the excellent polish on the connecting surfaces. The sights are the best SIg has ever used, and that combined with the trigger gives it better than average accuracy (which was already pretty great) for the platform. The reduced slide release should be standard, or at least an option on ALL Sig pistols, I shoot gamer 1911's and Tanfos so on my work Sigs the slide never locks back.

Overall, I'd carry it any day as a service weapon, and all Sigs being used by police or military should have this trigger. NOT a game gun, but you could fake it pretty good.

  3. Please use the tech support email address at dawsonprecision.com

or call and ask to speak to Huston.

Had same problem when switching mine to a white one recently. The black one popped a shard from the tool insertion port. I will send you an email, and the part if you want to look at it.

  4. The Arcangel works very well, and can be cleaned up with 600 grit sandpaper when it gets dinged up. That being said, if it's for a game gun, don't handicap yourself with a smaller magwell, when a larger legal one is available. I have a Dawson Ice Magwell (mainspring housing does come attached). A competent 1911 gunsmith can weld and blend a magwell to match your aesthetic. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for.

  5. I just spent a half hour at the LGS who's had a 320 on the shelf for a couple months. The grip angle would take some work for me because what feels natural to me, had the front post low in the notch. The trigger, even though it measure to be 7ish pounds, felt pretty darn nice and very short. My favorite part though was the metal mags and the slight grip extension on the rear of the grip that serves as a mag well. I'm very tempted. I can buy it at cost, but the owner wasn't there to see what that would be. It will probably be another 6 months or so before I get my issued one from DPS........

Is it the Full, Carry, Compact or Sub-Compact? 9mm, .40, .357-Sig, or .45? I have the Full in .357-Sig and 9mm, and the Sub-Compact in 9mm. I like them all, and I plan to send off one trigger module to GrayGuns for the latest trigger module hotness. I shoot the Full-size for 3Gun and it has a guide-rod with 1911 spring. All of them are tack drivers for me, even the tiny one.

  6. Just a little bit of FYI: They are expanding their line a bit more and are now making some pouches with screw attachments for either ELS forks or Tek-Lok's. Here is an example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/S-W-22A-22S-Beretta-U22-Neos-Dual-Mag-Pouch-Safariland-ELS-TEK-LOK-MagP0038-/151412315901?hash=item2340e096fd

Once I get my ELS belt setup for USPSA and 3Gun I can now include my rimfire in that. Awesome.

They are also working on making the products available directly from a website, you can sign up for the mailing list here: http://www.mcedigitalarmory.com/mcedigitalarmory/Welcome.html

I should be shooting Wed the 23rd with some spacers installed, I assume they are going to work great. I will post my experience with them.

Good luck today. Let us know how it goes. I shoot this Sunday.

  7. If we want less divisions, I would say we combine Single Stack and L10. I wouldn't even thing it would take much adjustment to the rules... Then it would bring this new combined division to a participation level above Open! (according to previous stats)

    Combined L10/Single Stack rules:

    -Start cocked and locked

    -No optics

-No more than 10 rds in the magazine at the start signal

-Allowance for Minor or Major PF (Major PF must be .40 cal or above, or .357 sig for those goof balls)

    -Otherwise fair game

I've mentioned the same idea to several people. I think this would really work. Most of the L10 guns I've seen are 2011's, plastics w/ magwells, or CZ's with magwells. Increase the SS mag capacity to 10 for everyone major or minor, have the hammer back safety on start, and EngineerEli is right, the playing field is pretty level.
