  1. I really like my Trijicon Accupower 1-8x FFP, and to be honest, my Primary Arms 1-6x SFP was pretty great, and I heard their 1-8x wasn’t too shabby for a low cost option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It happens eventually with all mag catches. Metal mags + metal mag catch = erosion of engagement surface. Since modifying the mag catch hole in the mag, is likely to irreparable damage the mag. A stronger spring may help, but eventually you'll need a new mag catch. It's a cheaper option than two new mags...
  3. Are they ok now? It was mainly the follower than caused me to curse. Once that changed, they were good, and I figured I might as well change the rest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Oddly enough, the SPS 140mm mags, w/ Grams followers/springs, and Dawson bases, have run 100% for me. YMMV, but I’ll get more based on my track record with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have a partial square of clear grip tape on the right side of my 2011, just in front of the pin (see pic). As others have mentioned, it's a nice reference during movement and reloads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If you are looking for an adjustable Novak cut rear sight, checkout Kensight. Really nice, adjustable, and keeps same look. Should be 90%-100% drop in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have the Tanfo Ambi in black off my Stock 2. I'd happily trade for the single sided Gold Team. I can trade you a pic if you want. Text may be easier if you want. my # 302-593-5724

Wasnt planning on refinishing. My gold team has some wear, not scratches or dings just some blueing coming off from use.

How do you want to do this...I can ship mine as early as Monday - are you able to do the same?

  8. Anyone tried one yet? Any feedback?
  9. If it hadn't worked so well for me, and my very specific set of variables, I would have chosen to lose the Powder-Check and keep the Dillon Seat Die and the Lee Factory Crimp Die. But... It works for me. And as a favorite NCO of mine once told me, "If it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid." I like the GSI, but I wasn't able to (in first person) see any working during my decision process. Several of my friends have the MBF, so it was an easy choice.
  10. I don't know. It was not expensive, and I'm happy with its performance.
  11. Well, the DAA Seat & Crimp die is a resounding success for me. I haven't had anything fail the case gauge or the gun since I set it up. I get to keep my powder check die, and my Mr BulletFeeder is dropping with precision (once I adjusted everything correctly for my bullets). I'm making about 100-rds every 5-min, and that's including adding primers/brass/bullets when they run low.
  12. This is one of the videos that helped me with the decision to buy one. My wife needed a short notice replacement for her game gun. I swapped all the competition specific parts from her game gun and its competition ready now. Definitely needed magwell, re-springing, and mag release change. Super easy.
  13. My wife is running the 9mm version. It didn't function well with my competition handloads (125gr RN, 3.7gr TG, 1.135 OAL, 129PF), using the factory springs. Since we didn't have time to "play find-the-right-spring-for-the-load" before the match this weekend, she shot using factory 9mm ammo without a problem. I've ordered some Wolff calibration spring packs to help narrow down the best recoil/hammer combination. I did transplant her Dawson Ice Magwell and extended mag release without issue.
  14. We will likely do a swap of the guts for all EGW (they are close to me and sell to all the local smiths), and Series 80 delete.
  15. My wife is picking one up in 9mm tomorrow. Her USPSA competition gun, a STI 1911 suffered a broken barrel today that will require fitting a new barrel. But not in enough time for some upcoming matches (levels 1 and 3) very soon. With a transplant of the guide rod and Dawson magwell, she should be able to limp thru until the STI is fixed, and then send the Colt out for a trigger job. Because if you have a spare, nothing breaks.
  16. Add the Mr BulletFeeder... It's so fast you second guess yourself.
  17. Any mag I've used goes in a pocket or backwards in a pouch.
  18. Since I make just one flavor of 9mm for my competition guns, if I can duplicate that with the combo die, I'll be happy, and keep the powder check. If not, then I'll ditch the powder check and use my Dillon seat and Lee factory crimp.
  19. After adding my Mr BulletFeeder, and losing my powdercheck station, th combo die surfaced on DaA's website. This allows you to combine stations so that you can leave a station for powdercheck or such. I imagine that Lee is making it for them, but I don't know for sure. Despite the anecdotal successes and failures of a combo seat/crip die, I am compelled to try it at the price point of $29. That powder check has kept me squib free, much better than my mk1-eyeball. Thoughts, concerns, actual experience, precognitive dreams featuring the die and a random anime character?
  20. What about putting a foam ball (baseball size) sprayed with case lube in the case feeder? It should just roll around with cases, and shouldn't put weight or pressure on the clutch. I think I'll try it and report back.
