  1. Check the back where the Failsafe cam is attached to the powder funnel assembly. At the top of the Failsafe triangle piece, there is a small white square that fits in a slot of the powder bar. That's what moves the powder bar along its path. If the square isn't in the slot, or it jumps out of the slot before the full movement of the powder bar, you will get a low/no charge. Tighten the screw that holds the Failsafe close, and Locktite if needed. If it continues to loosen, check screw hole in powder assemble for a crack.

  2. I have a Kriss Vector 9mm carbine that I'll be using for PCC. It uses Glock mags and is very accurate. The Gen 2 Vectors seem to not have any of the problems the Gen 1's had. Some of my friends are picking up ATI AR 9mm carbines to use. We'll see how we do!

  3. I have the Cajun Gun Works SP-01 Tactical with all the goodness. It is a very competitive gun. I would change the sights to fiber optic front and blade rear as suggested and then shoot it, a lot. With only $450 into it you can put some Cajun fun into it and have an awesome shooting SP-01 for half of what I paid.

Being competitive with it will only depend on your dedication to shooting it. The pistol will not be a limiting factor, IMHO.

I've seen this guy and his gun shoot, and it's easily competitive. Beats me most of the time with my Tanfo S2.

  4. Use a dry lube PTFE spray on the piston system parts and mag tube. DO NOT use a wet lube! Light loads will not fully cycle due to the additional suction the wet lube puts in the parts due to the tight tolerances (sounds dirty I apologize). Some of these parts will make things run smoother, and based on the other advice, fix some of the other possible culprits http://or3gun.com/

  5. Almost all the Stock 2's you'll find in the USA will be LF, and any SF will usually be specifically mentioned by the owner. The mags, grip panels, and some parts are NOT interchangeable and holsters are different. SF have a mag body with similar dimensions as a CZ mag if that helps you in identification. I'm sure someone with more knowledge can give you a serial number prefix that denotes a SF vs LF. Hope this helps. There are several LF's lately at fire-sale prices in the classifies. Good luck!

  6. There will always be some variations in the further decimal places. Mine still chrono surprisingly close together despite the variations. 1,076/1,074/1,077 etc... I've also notice that the rounds I produce at a constant speed and with the same pull/press cycle of the lever, are the most consistent in performance. When you are doing load development, you pull/press at different rates and speeds. So, I'm not shocked when I get slight variations in the hundredths.

  7. Checkout the OR3GUN site, some cool reliability enhancement stuff for 930s.

I'd definitely advise their marine spacer tube http://www.or3gun.com/OR3GUN/about_or3gun_marine.htm even if it adds no reliability (and I think it does), it should help prevent/slow down the rusting of your mag tube.

I had a 930 without an MST, never shot it in the rain & still had a rusty mag tube.

My go-to choke is Mod. I change that to Cyl for slug & buck.

    +1

All my mods from them have enhanced my gun, and to some extent, me (but I need much more work to be as good as the mods).

  8. I would guess the trigger bar is rubbing on the magazine. The change in pressure as the mag empties must have it moving slightly and rubbing. Take off the slide and work the trigger while inspecting and moving the mag up, down and around.

    ^^^This

If it's the problem, polish the inner and outer surfaces of the trigger bar.

  9. JJ does his own work.

So you're saying I'm lying or TJART is lying?

Nope. If I'd thought you were lying, I'd have used the words. EG visited JJ's new store earlier this year to give him some Tanfo gun smithing wisdom. So it is quite possible that he didn't always do his own Tanfo work, but now does. That is why I used the present tense with the word "does", and not "did." So rest assured, my belief in your truthfulness remains unaffected.

  10. I tried a similar battery powered led flex light, the batteries didn't last long, and always quit in the middle of a session. The InlineFab one runs off a wall plug with inline switch. It also fits in an area that never gets bumped, in the way, or jiggles during press use. Super bright and slimline. Worth it.
