  1. Hello Everyone, I am still learning alot from everyone and I wanted to ask. Do long dust cover 2011 frames have to be bull barrel's or can they be bushing barrels. Technically it looks like it could be done, and with the long dust cover the normal bushing barrel seems like it may work our without front loading the weight too much. However, I am a completely new to all this so I wanted to ask the educated crew here for their throughts. Thank You - K

  4. Does the Hornady have a problem with truncated cone bullets (I assume hollow points)? I thought the Hornady came with two stems for that? In terms of drift how bad or frequent does the Hornady need re-adjustment, thanks for sharing your input.
  5. Just a quick update, using the new U die, and some cleaning and lube of the primer slide thing (I cannot remember the name of it) the machine is now running great. Nothing is sticking, and i am running about 250 + rounds an hour in a calm and controlled pace. This is so nice compared to my old Lee press, thanks again to everyone for their help.

  8. Hi Everyone, I have a new to me Dillon 550 and have been making ammo like a mad man with the help of people on this forum. I have it the press running pretty good right now. The only thing i am not a fan of is that Dillon 9mm seating die as it is kind of a pain to adjust if i am switch between different loads. This was less of an issue with my old Lee dies. I was looking at a redding die, but now found that Hornady makes their custom grade new dimension, and a micro adjust seating stem. This seems like it would allow me to adjust easy on the fly. I wanted to see if anyone has used this combo before i purchased the two. Thanks and looking forward to the feedback, K
  9. So far the lube and new m type powder funnel is working really well. Bullets seat better and when there is bite, it is far less sticky than before. Thanks to everyone for their help. Next I need to figure out my waterfall problem. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

  11. Yup i used a lanolin recipe and let it dry for two days. Will go with my first batch of 100 rounds to check at the range.
  12. I used the franken lube recipe I found. I need to go to the range tonight and confirm all is good. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  13. So I cranked down my sizing die as far as it can go and tryed some case lube. The lube really helped resolve the issue so I will proceed with that approach going forward. Thanks for all the help. Adam Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

  15. Hello Everyone, I have run into a new issue with my new to me 550. When I expand and powder fill the case at station 2, the powder funnel sticks in the case and I need to force it out. This is not a huge deal but at times bumps the case in station 1. Initially i thought i was over expanding the case and adjusted it to have less bell but that did not help. I do not use any case lube and thinking maybe that is the issue? Interested in other peoples thoughts. K
  16. I bad a regular ball and upgraded with a roller handle. It allows my to get into a better rythem than the ball. For me it was worth the money. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

So do you mean to say that polygonal barrels do not have the same kind of tracing characteristics as rifled barrels?
  20. Do you mean the DVC-3gun? I thought this was the "upgraded" Marauder this year. http://stiguns.com/guns/dvc-3-gun/ Looks very cool but does not seem to fit as many games as the Marauder.
  21. Hi yes I do. But I bought used so missing a few screws on the package. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
  22. Evening Everyone, I am going to be attempting to mount the auto shell feeder on my Dillon 550, and I am short some of the pan head screws that mount the shell feeder to the 550. Would any know the pitch of these? and would it be safe to just use HD screws in their place? Thanks K
  23. I redid my lyman sizing die, and pushed it all thew way down, and then backed if off a smidge. I resized some of the bulged rounds and they are good to go in the egw and lyman sizers. I ran another ten rounds through and my problem seems to be resolved in terms of sizing now. Thanks for everyones help on this you were all so helpful. And to answer Rusty's question most of this brass was from my pistols (STI 2011, and HK p30) so i do not think either of this cause that problem. K
  24. RDA, it does not fit after sizing so I an going to look there. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
