  1. That is an obvious question, I will check and confirm. Sorry for posting such a newb question if that was it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  2. Hi just finished my first 50 rounds of 9mm with my new to me 550b. Overall it was pretty great compared to my lee classic turret. However, i have noticed in checking many (+50%) of my rounds are not passing my case gauge. The bottom of the round is mushroomed somewhat nd the rounds do not fit flush in the gauge. I figure i could make it work somewhat, but i must be doing something wrong in terms of setting up my dies. I checked all my dies, and found the bulge starts at station 1. Any tips or suggestions on what i can do to remediate this? I never had this kind of problem with the lee, so kind of stumpped here. Thanks for the help ahead of time. K
  3. Events or pistol? So far have done a couple idpa and am going to try steel challenge as well. No three gun yet but seems like that would be aloft of fun. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the feedback, will give uspsa a try but not as close the idpa events. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
  5. I agree the gear does not make a better shooter and I have been working at that over the last couple months. However I do like to tweak, and want to make sure I do not go too far and have something that won't fly on competition. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  6. You summarized my confusion, I would guess to be "safe" I can just have the internal parts coated and be done with it. I am new to IDPA so still trying to figure out how much things can be pushed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  7. The pin and hammer atr pfte coated, so basically a lube free trigger psckage, or close to it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  8. I would think it is a finish changes versus a visible change to extend life and lubricity. However it feels like this is a battle of what people feel versus fact. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the feedback on the previous issues. Would people think the hammer refinish and pin would be allowed under SSP and just a refinish, or would it be considered a visible modification that is a no go. I would love to get this done to my P30L as well as the trigger is a dream but I do not want to alter the gun so i cannot compete with it.
  10. Doh sorry forgot single action is a no go. Sorry about that Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  11. Do grips on 2011 pistols count as easily replacable? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks attached is an example of the trigger work being done on my p30. I am trying to see if this meets changing the external appearance or counts as a coating. Again esp and ccp I think is ok but I am interested in ssp as I have another pistol I am looking to get done. K
  13. Thanks so much I will post a pic of what I have and get input the coating. Would the trigger guard change be ok in CCP? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  14. Hi Everyone, I am new to IDPA and trying to see what are reasonable rule interpretations. Reading the rules it seems coating factory barrels and factory triggers parts could be ok for SSP, and is really ok for ESP? The other question i have is one of my pistols is great but has a terrible bump in the trigger gaurd, can i grind this down and still be SSP OK? Thanks, K
  15. For my Trojan I have had great luck with the Tripp, and the Gen 2 Wilson ETM mags. Other ones i have tried seemed to always have problems.
  16. Hi Everyone, I just got into shooting sports in the last couple years, and have just started shooting IDPA and reloading here in Central MA. I have been using the forum as a reference already and hoping to learn and progress from everyone's experience. K
