  1. Dang! That's a shame, they look rugged. Just out of curiosity, where on the tool are they breaking? Mine broke just where the arm is twisted. I guess it may be weakened at that point. al
  2. Mine broke too. I emailed the company to see if I could purchase a replacement part and got no answer. I also bought a remooner to replace it. al
  3. Bringing this one back up to report that I have continued to practice and have my dry fire el prez down to just a hair over 6 secs. My dry reload down to 2.3 secs But my live fire el prez is still above 7.5. Usually less than 5 points down How are you all doing.? al
  4. I wear 34 inch jeans and recently bought a used 46 inch cr speed belt. I had to cut about four inches off it because the overlap was just too much. Were I buying a new one I would buy a 40 or 42 to allow for expansion. Definately wouldn't buy smaller than 40. al
  5. I use 3.8 g of BA10 behind a Frontier 230g RN bullet. Nice and clean and makes major. al

    Man V Man

I have run a couple of M vM but not recently. The j ladder looks complicated but isn't too bad when you get used to it. Best plan I could think of was to blow up the ladder to about 4 ft long and cover it with clear plastic. Then if you made a mistake ( which always happens) you just clean it off and put it in the right place. We always did best of three at each challenge and don't forget that the best from the left side has to beat the best from the right side twice to win. Before I run one myself I ran a couple of imaginary ones with made up names and flicked a coin to decide who won each challenge. Thats how I got to understand the ladder al
  7. Did I finally manage to ask a question that was too dumb even by my standards. al
  8. Is that £90 including delivery? al
  9. Are you planning a bulk purchase to save money or because they are not available locally. The problem with bullets is the weight. Carriage on 1/2 pallet is the same (or near it )as a full pallet. About how much per 1000 do you expect them to be. al
  10. I doubt it would be worth while going to Frontier for 10-15000. In my opinion you would need to buy a pallet 70-80000 to get a reasonable price and save on carriage. Then there is the end user / import licence which might give you trouble unless a dealer will do it for you but then his cut may make it not worth while. Where do Xtreme bullets hang out. al
  11. You didn't say what quantity you are after. al
  12. I am wondering how much should the sight lift. I know in Brian's book he says the amount dosen't matter as long as the sight settles back to where it was. I shoot a Para P14 45 with major loads. I would like some indication. Should the muzzle rise 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch ?? what if your whole hand rises 3 inches. al
  13. Frontier in South Africa seems the best bet for europe. They of course have a european office Frontier Bullets Europe Jan Kaptein Lindeweg 115 3334 LA Zwijndrecht The Netherlands Tel: +31-78-6513100 Fax: +31-78-6177390 e-Mail: info.frontier@12move.nl What quantities are you considering. Have you considered 200g .40s al
  14. Yip. Thats what I narrowed it down to as well. Finally went for the edge. I won't have it for quite a while yet. angus hobdell seams to be an authority on CZ stuff. There is a cz forum online as well full of info. al
  15. Hi I am pretty new here myself. I am sure some of the old timers will be along to welcome you soon. Do you keep your handguns on the continent or do you rent / borrow when you go there. al
  16. As I understand it. The Pact MKIV comes with built in chrono but you still have to buy the sensors and screens etc for about $70. al
  17. stock Glock is all I have LIVEFIRE on tape ... and its about a year ago...I had some issues with slow mag changes back then... DOUBLE SEATING THE MAGS! and getting to my mags (probably a 1/2 second after the last shot or longer) ... I also shoot the wrong direction with the weak hand ... but that's a whole different topic. Any ideas why I get a browser full of symbols when I click the link. al
  18. Have you any more info on those. This is what I use. https://www.moonclips.com/cart/shopdisplayp...40+S%26W%2F10mm al
  19. I read a thread a while back. I think it was on Glocktalk. The person reckoned that ammo that had been FCDed was not as accurate. I use it for my IPSC loads so accuracy is not really crucial enough for me to worry. al
  20. Since non of us are getting any younger I will include this regime sent to me by a friend. Exercise Routine If you're over 40, you might want to take it easy at first, then do it faster as you become more proficient. It may be too strenuous for some. Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program! SCROLL DOWN... NOW SCROLL UP.. That's enough for the first day. Great job. HAVE A BEER....!!!!!
  21. Its a problem I have I ask a lot of awkward questions. Anyways I reckon I will go for the Pact. al
  22. Thats what I keep saying. But maybe my retirement fund wouldn't have been so healthy. al
  23. I find myself in the market for a new timer and so I do the search of Brians forum. Always plenty of good information. So now I have it narrowed down to the CED 8000 or the Pact mkiv. One question for Pact users which will probably clinch the decision. Is it possible to set the par times up to beep 1.5 sec after the start then 0.6 sec later then 0.6 sec later then 2.5 sec later and then 0.6 sec later and then 0.6 sec later. al

    Reloading

That is an amazing quick time and you have probably bettered it by now. Yesterday I did some dry fire reloads. Starting with gun on target, at the beep start reload, I was just scraping through at 2.5 seconds So I am putting that down here for a baseline and hoping to improve on it considerable. al
