  1. I had some spare time so I cut out three targets from a brown cardboard box then I laid the printout over them and marked out the scoring zones with a pin. At two yards it looks very similar to a full size at 10 yds al
  2. I saw a list of drills in another post there were two I don't know. Devils Triangle and tripple six I have done a search and turned up a lot of references but no descriptions. Would someone be kind enough to fill me in. al
  3. Guys I am happy to report that I am responding to treatment. After only three rounds of three sets per round I am up to 40 in ten seconds I would also like to point out that in my opinion this is by far the most informative shooting forum I have ever come across. I have learned an awfull lot my only problem is remembering and putting it into practice. al
  4. I dug out the instructions and they say that the second beep starts at the time set. I also found that there is a sensitivity adjustment screw that I didn't know about so I can play with it because it misses the occasional shot unless it is held close. al
  5. If I set it to 0,30 I get one long beep if I set it to 0.40 I get two beeps. All this means to me is that I cant set a par time less than .40. I really think that the second beep starts at the par time I can't see a reason to have the beep start before the time. But I hope you are right. al
  6. Well that was an eye opener. I have found one area that needs some training, finger strength. I only managed 35 in 10 seconds and I could see myself slowing down. 35 first time, just barely 35 second time and I didn't make it third time. I am using the pocket pro. I had thought that time started at the commencment of the first beep and stopped at the commencement of the second beep. al
  7. Bringing this one back from the grave because earlier today I tried out how fast I could dry fire 6 times. I dry fired 6 times in 1.4 deconds starting with my finger on the trigger. Do I devide this by 5 or 6 to get my splits. Do I subtract 0.20 for reaction time before I devide ? I never thought to see how many cycles I could do in 10 seconds but I will try next time. I don't expect it will be too many I reckon my finger will tire. al
  8. I too am researching my next semiauto purchase to replace my G22. I think I have it narrowed down to either the CZ 75 TS or the Tanfoglio Limited custom both in .40 cal. I would appreciate any comments also. al Did I put the kiss of death on this thread. al Guys I picked up a little used STI Edge with a bunch of magazines, holster and belt so I guess I can back out of this thread now. Its a bit more cash than I had intended to spend but I hope it will be worth it. al
  9. I use 5.3g of Power pistol with a 180 g TC Plated bullet just makes major. al

  11. What do you intend to use it for. Will make a difference which one to get. A 625 comes set up for moonclips. al

  13. I phoned them a while back but it was just after the NO disaster and the line was down. al
  14. I went down to the hardware store to try to find a suitable screw but without success. On the way home I called at a small machine shop. The guy said thats an American thread we wouldn't have anything like it. Just as I was leaving he called me back and after rummaging through a few boxes he produced the exact thread. Turns out he did a job for a local American owned factory and had some left over. I just had to shorten it and now my 625 is sporting some mighty nice woodwork. Now for some practice. They say if you handle it right one of these can do an el presedente in 4.5 seconds al
  15. I while back I got a Miculek grip for my 625 but found out that my gun did not have the proper attachment on the bottom of the frame to screw it to. So I called S&W. A very nice lady said she would post out the parts and when I offered my card number she said no sir they will be FOC. Pretty good I thought. Three weeks later a large envelope arrived by Fedex. It was at least 15 inches by 15 inches and had a small screw and a trigger part in it. I phoned S&W and spoke to a nice guy who said he knew the exact part I needed and would post it out himself that very day. Again FOC. Not bad I thought. One week later a small jiffy bag arrived containing the parts except they were for the rubber grips and had a much thicker screw than what I needed for the Miculek one. I phoned S&W and spoke to a different nice guy. A yes he said you need the one with the thinner screw I know exactly what you need I have it in my hand right now I will give it to the girl beside me she will post it to you Again FOC. Four weeks later nothing showed up. I phoned S&W spoke to a nice lady and related the whole story. She said the person I needed to talk to was out she would phone me back. Didn't phone back Next day I phoned S&W. The nice lady said O didn't she phone you back. I said no. She said I will have her phone you back today. Didn't phone back. Next day I phoned S&W. Nice lady said didn't she phone you back. I said no. I will phone you back within an hour she said. And true to her word she did. She said she had figured out exactly what I needed and had double checked it with someone else and would post it the next day. Eight days later (yesterday) a small jiffy bag arrived containing the parts. The bracket fits the gun, the screw fits the bracket and the screw is thin enough to go through the grip. BUT When the grip is on the gun the screw is not long enough to reach the bracket. If I had any hair I would be pulling it out in frustration. I am wondering if I could find a screw locally does anyone know the thread used. I thought about drilling a hole in the bracket to lower it but am thinking a longer screw would be easier. S&W were very helpful but I guess its an offbeat item that not everyone is familiar with. al
  16. Hi alellis, where are you from? Always a good adress for fine revolvers is Merkle Tuning in Backnang (near Stuttgart, Germany). Ralf Merkle can modify your K-Frame for Clips or sell you a prepared one. My Revos are all "Merkle tuned" OK thanks I have sent a email enquiry to them. al
  17. Al, What does EEC stand for? Eastern European Continent? European Economic Community Basically Western Europe with a couple of extras added lately. al
  18. I already mailed them but they can't help. al
  19. Hi I notice quite a few European shooters on this forum so can someone tell me a dealer/gunsmith within EEC who can either supply me with a .38 K frame S&W revolver which uses moonclips OR a smith who can modify one to use moonclips al
  20. Its a 625 revolver. I should have mentioned that. al
  21. At 650fps, you won't stick it in the barrel. That was my concern. I am wanting a very soft target load but I don't want one stuck in the barrel. al
  22. If I might butt in on this thread. How light can you go in a .45. Can you go to 650 fps and would that be the absolute minimum. al
  23. That is the point I was making. But I guess if the top shooters are not good enough to win with minor I definately am not. al
