Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I can only release updates that have been cleared by my company. I am hesitant to post tentative release dates, I would rather have a solid release date posted up so that customer expectations are met. I have shot the full size standard and it is one pretty smooth shooting pistol. Having said that, as soon as I receive a more solid release date (ie: we are actually ready to ship the pistol's out), I will not post any release dates until that actually occurs. -I will be submitting the Sphinx SDP Standard and it's variants for USPSA Production Class approval as soon as we have more samples available. -Joe
  2. Hello Everyone, Latest updates from SHOT Show 2016 The Sphinx SDP Standard we had on display has an aluminum grip (17rd.) and an aluminum upper frame. -At this time we still do not have an ETA or price point for US sales. -I personally haven't had a chance yet to try out different mags, but the same holds true for the standard as is it does with the compact. Make sure that the rear of the magazine does not hit the ejector on the sear cage or else it could/may cause damage to your ejector. -Joe
  3. Hi Everyone, No update in a while so here is the latest info. Sphinx SDP Standard Black - will be out tenatively by end of summer. Sphinx SDP Production - no release date at this time. Sphinx SDP Parts - working on it. If any of you happen to be attending the West Coast Steel Championships in Piru, CA. this weekend, come on by the Kriss/Sphinx booth and say hi!
  4. Hello Everyone, Latest updates, Standard size pistols, I'll have more solid release dates along with models being released shortly. Production pistols, no dates at this time.
  5. Great news guys! The Sphinx SDP Compact ALL VARIANTS are now USPSA Production Class Approved! If you cannot find it on the list, look under Make- Kriss, USA http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-production-gunlist.php
  6. Morning Everyone, Latest updates: -Full size Sphinx SDP's now tenatively scheduled Q2 2015 -USPSA Production approval for Compact pistol line (what we have released so far) is being processed. -and for some other news, 9mm Kriss Vector tenatively scheduled for this summer.
  7. Hi Everyone, Sphinx Recent updates: Tenative Sphinx Standard Pistol release date, possibly end of this month. We will more than likely release the Black variant first. No release date at this time for Sphinx Production Variant. The Australian dealer mentioned above has Production pistols on pre-order. The blurb on their website is taken straight from the description of the Sphinx Production pistols on our www.sphinxarms.com website. "The steel slide is machined from billet and is hand fitted to mate perfectly with the interior, full length guide rails, of the billet aluminum frame." From the Sphinx web site. Maybe the guide rails are steel. The slide rides within the upper frame. Depending on the model, it will be either aluminum or steel.I'm still waiting on word from USPSA as to approval of our pistols for production class. The big announcement we made at SHOT this year was the debut of our Kriss Vector in 9mm.
  8. Went to my LGS today. They are Sphinx distributor. I was told that they just put in an order for 9 full-size pistols from Sphinx...but (and this surprised me) they said the full-size Sphinx is only being released for now in .45. Maybe FrontSight can clarify this... The full size Sphinx in .45 ACP that is mentioned is actually our older Sphinx 3000, not the Sphinx SDP Full Size, which will be released early 2015
  9. With only five weeks left in the year, what do you thing are the chances of the full size being available in 2014? Latest update we have as of right now(dates are still subject to change). Standards should be available Jan-Feb 2015
  10. I just received my subcompact. It's a beautiful gun, the quality is incredible both inside and out. It feels great. It is very consistent and accurate and it is a natural pointer for me. The shape of the lower is very very nice. But, I'd like to tune the trigger a little. The SA is a crisp 4.5 lbs with a lovely short and tactile reset. However, I'd like to drop .5-.75 lbs. The DA stacks real bad and is very heavy I estimate over 10. Front sight, any idea when some springs may be available for this gun? I know Dave at CGW is supposed to be working on some springs for the larger sizes. I'd like to try a lighter main spring and perhaps a lighter firing pin block spring. I may tear into it soon and see how the springs compare to CZ springs. I just can't leave my guns alone I always have to do something to them. We currently do not have a specific date for alternative spring rates to be released.bwhitedd, on 14 Nov 2014 - 3:36 PM, said: Bud's has them on the site, they are out of stock, but they are there...... Full size availability has not been finalized. Still aiming for sometime in Decemeber, but any hard release dates are pure speculation at this point. As soon as a date has been finalized for the release of any model's/variant's, we will make an official announcment.
  11. Back to the original topic, someone on another forum asked: "I'm assuming both the 18 and 16rd [magazines] he [from Post #3] is referring to is for the CZ75 and will stick out the bottom? I'm guessing there is no mag from CZ that will flush-fit, lock in place, and clear the ejectors in an SDP? Thus, we're stuck with the $50+ Sphinx mags?" 16rd. magazine will stick out of the bottom.
  12. Any idea of when the full size production models will be available as of yet? Currently the only solid release dates I have available is for the Sub-compact which will be out in the next 2-3 weeks or sooner. No solid release date as of this time for the full size production models.
  13. Looking forward to seeing a sub compact. As well as a full size but I love my shadows!! Thus, I think a sub compact will be in the cards for me long before a full size. Sub-compact will be out mid-November
  14. Any updates on custom shop? No updates on the custom shop, we are currently focusing on our release of a .22lr M4 variants under our Krytac brand and other projects...
