We have a combination of orange construction mesh and shade cloth. Not sure what grade it is but for what its worth, the shade cloth has far better longevity. Our shutters stay out year round they get a tempiture range from say, -5degC to 35degC. And yeah, we get alot of wind too at certian times of the year too.

Having scored and taped a target, only to be shown an un taped mike from a previous shooter that just touched outer the edge of the target, I now scan the target twice. First look gets the obovious, second look concentrates on the edges.

Advantage Tactical sights might be worth a look for you. The front post is adjustable with shims(supplied). They are a little different and not the prettiest you'll see but I've yet to hear or read a bad thing avout them. Cant vouch for their performance in person, mine are still in the mail.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. So I assume the history of the brass is known? In the end, the fact it was factory reloaded, rather than new brass, shouldnt be very relevant should it? The QC at the factory seems to be left wanting in this case. Its sobering to think this kind of failure can happen with factory loads. I took a closer look at my ammo this morning before my comp. A lesson learned for me at someone elses expense. Im very pleased to hear the OP came out of this in one peice and look forward to hearing the end of the story. Gary.

Having your right to bear arms enshrined in law is both a blessing and a curse I think. For us its a privilege rather than a right. The Aussies probably have it worse than us. Since the Port Arthur massacre, their gun laws are draconian.

We still have our share of nut cases and assholes, we still have murders and there is still a degree of gun crime but per head of population, they are well down on most countries. Our system is the polar opposite to the US one but it seems to work fairly well.

Thanks Nimitz. I would say some our gun laws, specifically surrounding handguns and military style semi automatic rifes (MSSA's) are quite elobrate. An A category licence, known simply as "a firearms licence" here, gets you a bolt action hunting rife or a shotgun. Its easy to get and security can be as litte as a decent padlock and an eye bolt in the back of a cupboard. Everyone has to start with that. B cat is specifically for handguns and reuires an approved pistol safe and more background checks. C cat is for MSSA's, better security again, and E cat is for collectors. Better security again. No one carries for protection here, infact, only 1in 4 cops carry on duty, though all have pepper spray and alot are trained for carrying tazers. To own a handgun you must have a clean police record. You must belong to a pistol club and infact police will veto a B cat application if the Pistol club thinks are not ready to own a pistol. You can only carry your handgun to/from an approved range, the police, the gunsmith, a potential buyer, the gun shop, or your home. You can not stop along the way and the gun must be in a locked container. That sounds strict and I guess it is but you must understand that we have almost no gun related crime here. Part of the reason for this is strict control of hand guns and MSSAs and heavy penalties surrounding gun crime. Simply implying you have a gun is the same as presenting a gun at a robbery as far as our laws go. Any gun under 1 meter in length is considered a hand gun, therefore a consealabale weapon, and the penalties pile on. Our crooks here are usually careful to cut their guns down to 1 meter and10mm to avoid a handgun charge LMAO! 99% of shooting fatalities are accidental shootings and most involve hunting. There has never been a shooting death or wounding on an approved range ever. IPSIC is safer than Rugby and way safer than driving your car

Hi there, Im new to this forum and fairly new to hand guns and IPSIC. Ive been mooching around on the glock forum but the talk there is mostly protection and defence whereas my intrest is sport shooting. My 15 year old Son and I are both enjoying IPIC, though yet to be holster qualified so still walking the courses. We are shooting production with a Glock 17 gen 2 Cheers, Gary.
