Should I use 9mm 124 jhp from Montana gold?
I guess that's where I'm getting confused at.
Also would that work with VV 3n38 powder?

I wanted to ask everyone's opinion about setting up a load for my open gun. I have spent hours looking on the forum to build a good load.
I just purchased a DVC Open and Dillon Square Deal B.
Here is what I have for the load.
Starline Brass
Montana Gold .38/125gr bullets
Federal small pistol primers
VV N105 powder
Loaded @10.2gr to achieve MPF.
How does that load look to everyone?
Thanks
I'm new to open division, anywhere I can read about what the differences are between these two rounds?
A stock DVC is 38 super, guess I'm trying to see what it would take to run super comp.

So for a new shooter just getting into open, can I ask for some opinion? I do not reload and this will be my only open pistol until I can save all that money again for a second pistol.
What would be the best open pistol to buy? STI DVC or CK Arms? I think I'm leaning to 38 super in either brand.
Hello everyone, I am a new member to this forum and USPSA. I attended a class for the intro into the USPSA with the area 8 director less than a month ago. Loved the class and jumped into USPSA shooting head first. I am ex-military with a good experience with firearms and rifles. I shot my first match with my glock 34 and I was hooked.
I purchased a 2011 STI Aperio and love the firearm. I am sending it off for some work to be done by JPL precision after a small issue arose with the gun. Thankfully the area 8 director is a hell of person and is helping guide me.
I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from this forum!
