  1. Check to see if the follower is getting hung up on the slide stop. I had that problem but I remedied it by converting them to 140 mags

Winner winner chicken dinner! I put the guts of a working mag in a tube that did not drop before and it worked fine. I examined the follower of the bad mag and you can see the edge of the surface that contacts the slide release is rounded over. So my guess is it is getting wedged against the slide stop.

So is this a misshaped slide stop or just a bad follower?

CleverUsername, what followers did you go to to correct your problem?

    Thanks,

  2. I bought 6 of the Mec Gar 17 round 9mm mags for my Stock II. The second time out they will not drop out of the gun without a round in left in them. When I seat the mags that don't fall the click that it is suppose to make is not as prominent as my mags that fall free. There is no visable difference in the mags that work and the mags that don't work.

    Any suggestions?

Could this be from doing mag changes with no dummy rounds in them?

  3. So I live in Michigan and I have a manufactures rep that owes me $500.00 for a little sales contest. He can't give me cash and I have to submit an invoice. I thought of using that for a private training session. I'd like to keep it within driving distance. MI, OH, IN, Since I grew up about 40 min south of where Robert Vogel lives I thought of him. Is there anyone else I should look into?

Here's my situation and what I want to accomplish.

I just got everything put together to shoot Production.

I've done some dry fire and mag changes and a few live fire sessions.

    I haven't shot a match yet.

I feel my grip, stance, trigger control is pretty solid. I'm used to reloading between 5,000 and 10,000 rounds a year so I'm set in that department.

I spent 18 years in Cowboy Action Shooting where I was consistantly in the top 10 over-all when I would attend the world championships and won a ton of state and regional matches. It took a lot of dedication to stay at that level so I know and enjoy working at something to get better.

I would've never got to this skill level if I wasn't taught how to practice. "Practice don't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect."

So that is what I want out of this training session. When I go to the range and shoot 300 rounds I want to learn something. So I want to learn drills, dry fire practices. ect ect ect

Should I do this right off the bat? Will it be worth the money?

I know there are a lot of good books out there. I just would really like that one on one experience. That is what helped me the most in CAS.

    Sorry for the long explaination.

  4. Oak hill has a store site and have the 9mm listed as out of stock at $969.00

I find it a little dishonest that they put their inventory on GB and never even inform customers of the gun's arrival.

    I signed up for notifications.

Will not buy anything from them in the future.

I thought the same thing. I also signed up for notifications. Davidson's received 4 of these guns. I called them 3 minutes after their notification went out and was told they were gone in a matter of seconds. Tough to believe.

    Get a CZ!

Already have one from the custom shop. I just want a Stock II because they look cool

  6. So I found a Stock II 9mm for a decent price that has extras listed below. In conversation and reading other posts I noticed a lot of people put EG Extreme Hammer and a one piece sear in on top of what is listed below. What will the addition of these two parts do for the gun? Plus what else should I invest in?

    Thanks,

    Extras: Eric Extreme Grips

    Eric Extreme Firing Pin

Eric Extreme Hammer Spring ( Light )

    Eric Extreme Firing Pin Spring

    Eric Extreme Heavy Guide Rod

    Hard Chromed Slide Stop

    Hard Chromed Safety's

    Hard Chromed Trigger

    Polished Internals

    Dawson Front Sight .100
