So you just bought shim stock, cut it to length, and wrapped it around the barrel extension?

I'm curious about the shim as well. My 2A upper is a little loose as well. Not sure it matters as long as the barrel nut is tight though. I gave up on the 16.5" barrel and bought a lightweight 16" mid gas DD. Gave up 0.2lbs, but works much better.

Mine felt similar to what you describe when it was new. I went out and shot it and had zero issues. I've shot two matches now without a problem and numerous rounds at the range.

This was my 1st Pro/Am and 2nd 3-Gun event. I had a blast and can not wait for the next one.

Shot mine at the 3GN Regional last weekend and it worked great. I only shot 69gr SMK handloads tho. It doesnt do as well with 55gr after playing with it before leaving for the match tho. 55 gr is all I have tried so far. 55's wouldn't lock back for me and i would have had to open the gas setting further to make it work. I'm also running an RCA LW BCG and Taccom ULW buffer system too. 69gr ammo going 2666fps makes the gun run like a top and recoil is soft. Will you be at Rockcastle?

I have been working with VooDoo and hope to get everything sorted out. While I am frustrated, their customer service has been top notch so far. I just hope it leads to some results soon.

I am getting to the point where I'm thinking of getting another barrel. I'm not convinced this 16.5" barrel can work.

I bought a set of the plastic pins like listed above. My gas block seems to work all the way against the flange. I have not yet made it to the rage though. Will head that way in an hour.

My barrel flexes, but maybe not as much as you suggest yours does. I have only been to the range once with mine and had the same problems with not locking back. I also have the Voodoo bolt. I have discovered that the bolt is very tight in the carrier. I have another BCG I am going to try later today. My fingers are crossed.

Thanks As soon as I get a shipping confirmation on my barrel I'll order a gas block.

How is the barrel setup for a gas block? I know it is 0.75", but is the barrel dimpled or do I have to use a clamp on?
